She was inspired to write the piece in early 2020, and based it on Beethoven's famous Fur Elise opening theme. Sarah imagined Elise having a sister, and felt quite sorry for her not having her own famous piece. Also, Sarah has known many pianists who have only been able to learn the beginning of Beethoven's wonderful piece, and hopefully by working on this one first, students will be one step closer to learning the rest of it!! Sarah enjoys writing repertoire for her own children and students at the intermediate level, as she finds the jump from beginner to advanced repertoire quite a leap.
