Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1419026 Composed by Liz Nedela. 20th Century,Christian,Classical,Contemporary,Religious. Score. 24 pages. Liz Nedela #1000466. Published by Liz Nedela (A0.1419026). This piece is a Song Cycle of three songs.  The titles of the songs are lines from the  poem.  The poem is by e.e. cummings, used with permission.  Each song emphasizes portions of the complete poem.  The composer's intent is to place the same emphasis as Cummings portrayed in his recitation, a copy of which is online; see the YouTube link.NOTE: The mp3 uses samples of each of the three songs, using this guide:Song #1: Beginning of recording to #1:37; Measures 1-41 of the scoreSong #2: From #1:57-3:28 of recording; Measures 1-46 of the scoreSong #3: From #3:43-end of recording; Measures 1-57 of the score 1. a true blue dream of sky, states the entire poem, with emphasis as portrayed inCummings recitation. The voice is lyrical and theatrical, with spoken words andhumming, as well as singing. The accompaniment implicates solidity, predictability, strength of the nature of God; but also wonderment, freedom and being light-hearted.The composer chose to title this song using a line in the poem, rather than the mostused title — which begins the cycle of key elements of the poem used to title andcomprise songs 2 and 3 — thereby placing importance as Cummings recited.2. of life and of love and wings, is more lyrical and lighter in nature than song #1. This song emphasis God’s creations, and seemingly joy He displayed while creating them, giving them wings of freedom for life and love.3. unimaginable You, is more reflective, using a modal tone — all to emphasize thereactions of Cummings to the wonderment and magnitude of God.  He concludes with:(and now the ears of my ears awake andnow the eyes of my eyes are opened)Also please note:  The price includes permission to make two copies of the pdf.

Individual part. 42 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #761608. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1161269). This is the twenty-fourth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all  volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 24 (Songs 622-648)Mummers’ Carol Must I thenMy Bonnie, Bonnie BoyMy Bonny CuckooMy Boy BillyMy Dearie She Sits Ower Late upMy Grandfather’s ClockMy JohnnyMy Johnny was a ShoemakerMy Love’s an ArbutusMy mother did so before meMy Own Pretty BoyMylecharane (Isle of Man) [Vylecharane]Myrtle Tree (the)Nae Bonnie Laddie tae Tak’ Me Awa’Nature CarolNelson’s DeathNever Marry an Old ManNew Year SongNewcastle FairThe New-Fashioned FarmerNight Visit SongNoble Foxhunting (the)Nos Galan (winter)Nottinghamshire Poacher (the)Ny Kirree Fo-SnaighteyO ’Twas in the Broad Atlantic

Choral Choir (SA) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1007138 Composed by Charles McCreery. 20th Century,Children. Octavo. 6 pages. St Maur Music #4822661. Published by St Maur Music (A0.1007138).  This song is the second in a series of ‘Fourteen Tolkien Songs’. It is headed ‘1’ because it is preceded in the set by a Prologue: ‘Farewell We Call to Hearth and Hall’, which is also available from Sheet Music Plus.   A comment on the collection of Tolkien songs by an Oxford piano teacher: ‘For those who only know Tolkien via the recent blood-and-thunder films, this song-cycle by Charles McCreery will give a very different angle on the classic saga. Here we find a gentle and ethereal world, where rhythms lilt and words echo. The twelve songs, suitable for choir, evoke a dreamy, water-colour landscape with no harsh sounds, the tunes are singable and in a traditional style that Tolkien would surely have approved. Dr Julia Gasper, LGSM   A general comment on Charles McCreery’s music by a violinist and composer in the USA: ‘Charles McCreery’s beautifully melodic, intricately textured compositions are infused with classical, romantic and folk idioms.’ Samantha Gillogly   ‘The Fall of Gil-galad’ is appropriate for women’s choirs, children’s choirs, schools, music students generally, and anyone with a particular interest in the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. The MP3 which plays from this page is of the orchestral version of the song. A video illustrating this orchestral version can be seen on YouTube. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522222 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Folk,Holiday. Score. 21 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #3913261. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522222). These folk song arrangements are written in the Welsh language. The vocal range is from Middle C to F on the top line of the staff. They are suitable for mezzo soprano and could also be sung by tenor voice an octave lower. They are among some of the most popular folk songs of Wales and sure to be well received at a vocal recital. They would also make excellent encore pieces. For copyright reasons, English translations are not provided, although some are to be found on various web pages. 1. Y Ddau Farch (The Two Mares) The song tells the story of two horses. The older one tells the younger, “In my day I was as good a horse as youâ€. But when I became too old to work, I was sent away to the mountains. She vows never to return to her cruel owners. This is an example of a macaronic song in which the lyrics use more than one language.  2. Si Hei Lwli, ’Mabi (Sleep, my Lovely Baby) In this pentatonic lullaby, a mother tells her child that their ship is moving away, the captain is on board, the eastern wind is blowing and the seagull is on its nest. 3. Canu Cwnsela (Wassail Song) The singers ask permission to come in and sing for their dinner. But they seem to have chosen the wrong house because the reply is: “I have no dinner or money to spend, to give you a welcome tonight.†The melody is in the Dorian Mode.  4. Robin Ddiog (Lazy Robin) The song, also in the Aeolian mode is about a robin whose little house is always tidy. “Open the door a little bit, so that I can see the sea and the waves†he asks. When the door is opened, the breeze sweeps away all the leaves from the floor. 5. Migildi Magildi “When the smithy’s door is open, we can see the blacksmith working.†The song describes the sights and sounds of the blacksmith’s workshop. You can hear all the songs in the audio demo, though they are played by an oboe rather than sung.
