Composed by Henry Clay Work, this song is famous for its opening lines, My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf.... It is structured to be sung up to the third verse. The second verse takes on a canon-like style, and before the third verse, there is a long interlude featuring the phrase Ninety years without slumbering, tick, tock, tick, tock... at its core. You can also shorten the song by cutting from measure 66 to measure 97. In that case, please play the bassoon and piano at measure 65 the same way as in measure 63. (arr. By Gordon Mills and Les Reed. Arranged by Chris Gorman. 20th Century,Pop,Standards. Brass Band. 31 pages. Chris Gorman #895875. Published by Chris Gorman (A0.1306522). It's Not Unusual is a song written by Les Reed and Gordon Mills, first recorded by a then-unknown Tom Jones, after it had first been offered to Sandie Shaw. He intended it as a demo for her, but when she heard it she was so impressed with his delivery that she recommended he sing it instead. The BBC initially refused to play it because of his sexy image, but UK pirate radio did not. He sang the song twice in 1965 on The Ed Sullivan Show in New York City, on 2 May and 13 June. He did it again on 21 April 1968. This arrangement is a great addition to the Brass Band Library which will carry on for years to come.

Small Ensemble Guitar,High Voice,Low Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.775407 Composed by Thomas Moore (1779-1852). Arranged by John Pinno. Classical,Concert,Holiday. Score and parts. 4 pages. John Pinno #2551071. Published by John Pinno (A0.775407). An arrangement for solo voice and classical guitar of the song composed by Thomas Moore in the early 19th century. The song evokes the spirit of the hilltop castle home of the ancient Irish kings, through the symbol of the harp, the traditional instrument of the Irish people. The vocal part could be taken by soprano, alto, or tenor voice ranges, and if the pitch is too low for a particular voice, the guitarist could use a capo to raise the pitch of the guitar. This arrangement was done in honor of Paul Coates, who was the yoga teacher for my wife and I from 1993-2011, and he of Irish heritage, would often humorously say as he had the class up in a shoulder stand, and now we'll all sing a verse of The Harp That Once Through Tara's Halls!   For any questions or concerns email John Pinno at jpinno093@hotmail.com.  Please also check out some of my other arrangements on Sheet Music Plus for classical guitar solo, and also duos for guitar with flute or voice : http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/john-pinno-sheet-music/3002745
