At the heart of the suite lies a symbolic motif introduced in the first measure of the Praeludium, serving as the foundation upon which each subsequent movement is written.Moreover, the Praeludium introduces a harmonic tension in measure 9 that is left unresolved until the final bars of the Gigue. This deliberate choice creates a sense of conflict within the Hero's Journey.It is only in the closing bars of the Gigue that this tension finds resolution, symbolizing the Hero's transformative journey throughout the Suite. This musical narrative reflects the theme of personal growth and renewal, akin to the process of self-discovery and transformation found in the Hero's Journey archetype.

And I have to admit that I LIKE it on the piano!!So here is the fully pianistic version, as opposed to the harpsichord version.To round off this book, I took four pieces from my two collections using the titles of Magritte’s surreal paintings to make a further 4-movement work, the ‘Suite Magritte’.
