Schott Music - Digital #Q45313. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q45313). Key: G major. German • English • French.Ferdinand Küchler is regarded as one of the great violin teachers of the 20th century, not least because of his violin method. Further individual orchestral parts are available for download at www.notafina.de. As an alternative to the viola part, a part for a third violin is notated as well. This edition is part of the new Schott Student Edition series which offers varied literature at five different levels of difficulty, from 1 (easy) to 5 (difficult), for instrumental lessons. Flute and piano - difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q46579 Selections of the suite for orchestra (1945). Composed by Igor Stravinsky. Arranged by Kyle MacLeod. This edition: score and part. Il Flauto traverso. Eine Auswahl der Orchestersuite. Downloadable, Score and part. Duration 11 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q46579. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q46579). Igor Stravinsky’s musical setting of the Slavonic fable of The Firebird, L’Oiseau de feu, is one of the pioneering orchestral works from the beginning of the 20th century. Reviews of the first performance of the ballet at the Théâtre National de l’Opéra in Paris in 1910 lauded Stravinsky’s “dazzling music in all shades of colour†such that Stravinsky composed two orchestral suites of his ballet. A further version followed in 1945 which has in part provided the basis for the following arrangement for flute and piano.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1120365 By Philip Le Bas. By J-B Lully / G Bizet. Arranged by Philip Le Bas. Christmas,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Octavo. 8 pages. Philip Le Bas #721616. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1120365). A new arrangement by Philip Le Bas of a thirteenth century French Christmas carol from Provence harmonized by Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-87, attrib.) and, more famously, by Georges Bizet (1838-75, in his L'Arlesienne Suite of 1872.) In France the melody is still tightly associated with Christmas, and French audiences start singing their own Christmas words whenever they hear the melody (the arranger has heard it himself!) The English translation used here is adapted from a variety of sources. The three kings (or more precisely the magi from St Matthew's gospel) are seen marching towards Bethlehem with their fantastic golden wealth and grandeur. But why are they going to see a low-born baby and why do they worship this child who will die on a cross? The organ sets the scene from the beginning with its marching accompaniment, and the first verse is sung in unison by all three parts. The second begins with a canon, as used by Bizet, and then breaks into harmony. The first section of the third verse is much quieter and legato, sung by the sopranos and altos, using wonderful chromatic harmonies based on another section from Bizet's suite. The lyrics express wonder at the beautiful music heard from the camp of the kings. The second section, sung in differentiated unison then begins to wonder why the kings stoop so low to a baby in a manger. Finally the fourth verse, sung in full harmony, returns to the marching accompaniment and reiterates the amazement of meeting these kings with their mysterious mission. The carol is aimed at parish choirs with limited resources, but a good organist. The melody is well-known, much of it is in unison, and other sections are relatively easy to sing. Care should however should be taken to sing the dotted rhythms accurately - this is what gives the carol its marching character.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1277443 By Michael Swedberg. By Gustav Holst. Arranged by Terrence Niska. 21st Century,Classical,New Age,Pop. Score. 8 pages. Niska Music Publishing #869141. Published by Niska Music Publishing (A0.1277443). While I was still in high school, the moment I first heard Holst’s suite,“The Planets,†it quickly became one of my favorite works of Classical music. “Mars, the Bringer of War,†the first movement of the suite, was easily my favorite followed by “Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity.†The nobility of the slow theme, which this arrangement is based on, resonated deep within my soul. Holst later used the theme to set to music a poem by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice:I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no questions, the love that stands the test,That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice. And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1430086 Composed by S. Lyapunov. Arranged by A. Leytush. 19th Century. 134 pages. Arkady Leytush #1010761. Published by Arkady Leytush (A0.1430086). This orchestral suite was composed by me from three numbers of Transcendental Etudes, op. 11 S. Lyapunov - Berceuse, Rondo des Sylphes & Lesghinka. These three different plays combine perfectly due to their contrasts and different artistic images. Translating these virtuoso opuses to a full orchestra, I had to deal with many technical difficulties purely for the piano, which had to be adapted for the orchestra, while I had to create new lines and voices and even compose something. This work completely captivated me with the talent, ingenuity and delightful imagination of its author. I am sure that this composition could decorate many orchestral programs, giving them freshness and great emotional intensity.

Woodwind Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.1189586 Composed by Reynaldo Hahn. Arranged by Paul Kajzar. Romantic Period. 29 pages. Paul Kajzar, Gyllcott Music #789219. Published by Paul Kajzar, Gyllcott Music (A0.1189586). An arrangement for wind dectet (2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons and 2 horns) of the courante from Reynaldo Hahn’s suite Le Bal de Beatrice d’Este. Composed around 1905, the 7 movement suite evokes the atmosphere of the late 15th century court in Milan, with many of the movements taking the names of dance forms of that era. The piece was originally scored for an ensemble of wind, horns, trumpet, piano, harps and percussion. The courante is wonderfully civilised music and has great charm, and would serve well as a calm interlude in the context of a longer recital. The set comprises full score and parts. Difficulty level : Intermediate/Advanced.
