Jurassic World: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the film score to Jurassic World composed by Michael Giacchino. The album was released digitally and physically on June 9, 2015 by Back Lot Music.Giacchino previously scored the video games Warpath: Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. The score also includes the Jurassic Park theme by John Williams. Giacchino stated: It was a really targeted approach, as to where to [include Williams' themes] and where would make the most sense and where would we most appreciate it, as fans ourselves.All music is composed by Michael Giacchino, except where noted. There are various instances throughout the score that contain hints to previous themes composed by Williams. These include the end of Gyrosphere of Influence which references the theme from Jurassic Park, as well as both Costa Rican Standoff and Our Rex is Bigger Than Yours that reference motifs used in Jurassic Park's sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. The track Raptor Your Heart Out also briefly features a cue composed by Giacchino for the video game adaptation of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Tim Simonec orchestrated and conducted the score, with Jeff Kryka, Susie Bench, Peter Boyer, Brad Dechter, Mark Gasbarro, Norman Ludwin, Cameron Patrick and Chris Tilton serving as additional orchestrators. The story and especially the music left me memorized and haunted by the themes of music intertwined with the characters portrayed in this beautiful and award winning movie.My favorite music from the movie is the “LOVE THEME composed by Ennio Morricone and his son Andrea Morricone. I think this exquisite music creates an atmosphere that is unforgettable, unique and quite memorable.After having the opportunity of watching the movie again in August 2023, I decided to create a piano arrangement of the LOVE THEME. The arrangement is an advanced intermediate piano solo. I incorporated my own style of arpeggios at the beginning and at the end of the arrangement with musical voicings to enhance the thematic melody. Reflective and subdued, the interplay between Stevens’ piano and  Iimori’s oboe is effortless and flowing. Autumn Wind picks up the pace a bit, but continues the easy flow, bringing images of  leaves swirling. Signs of Winter is a bit darker and more mysterious. Iimori is a big fan of Paul McCandless, and that musician’s influence is very strongly heard in these first three pieces - a very good thing! In Clouds,  Iimori switches from oboe to English horn. This duet with the piano is a dramatic musical depiction of the gathering clouds and anticipation of a coming thunder storm. I really like it a lot!  Snow is tranquility set to music. Sparrow’s Song brings us to the beginnings of spring - the freshness in the air, and the joyful songs of birds in the yard. July reflects the laziness of a hot summer day. Season’s Reprise brings together the  themes from the various seasons, creating a lovely closing to the Suite.

Though still a challenge, especially with the optional vocal soli, this Conniff-themed edition has been adapted from a more difficult version previously performed by Vocalogy on their 2005 Distilled release. The piece opens with a pulsating rhythm section figure as pianist, bassist, and drummer enter one by one. The wonderful moments of tension have been maintained beneath Rachmaninoff's soaringly romantic melody, and the wordless vocal provides an ethereal quality. With the optional soli, this is an Advanced level arrangement. There is room for improvising regardless of whether or not the soli is performed and, with no soli, this is an Advanced Intermediate arrangement.   Included individual piano, bass, and drum parts play from individual parts with chord symbols, slashes, and rhythmic notation. During Malaysia's third Covid-19 Lockdown, in January 2021, I composed a short piece for solo trombone each day for 14 days, performing them each evening in an online stream from my apartment balcony. This work fleshes out the themes from Lockdown Miniatures #1 and #4. The first two themes, from Lockdown Miniatures #1 (subtitled Here We Go Again), reflect the angst and uncertainty of beginning yet another lockdown — with all businesses once again closed, police roadblocks preventing movement beyond the neighborhood, and all human contact reduced to a small screen. The third theme, from Lockdown Miniatures #4 (subtitled Loss), is meant to express the raw emotion associated with losing loved ones over the previous ten months. This piece was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Miran Vaupotic, on 26 February 2022 as part of a project by Parma Recordings. The album, titled Sparks: Eye of London, was released in October 2022 on Navona Records.
