This arrangement was commissioned by Kathleen Arends for The Big Byrds recorder ensemble in Seattle. The duration is 5'15.

Flute Duet Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845148 Composed by Phil Beaman. Contemporary,Folk,Hip-Hop,Instructional,R & B. Score. 19 pages. Phil Beaman #6258213. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.845148). This unique piece was commissioned for a Royal performance at the British Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. The requirement was to write a student piece for flute that told a story and represented the spirit, culture, and atmosphere of your country. Representing the island country of Grenada I wrote a flute duet using two local folk themes depicting 'sleep' and 'party'. The two flutes debate which to do. Each flute initially states their case, then the arguing begins back and forth as the phrases get shorter. Things get a bit more animated when the flutes begin interrupting and 'dissing' each other. With more energy they begin 'talking' over each other resulting in polyrhthyms. Finally they start shouting at each other and the pitch begins to rise before being abruptly stopped before things get out of hand. (The score includes prefaces and appendices to explain the commission, the story, and performance tips in greater detail.)

1 Piano,4 Hands,Piano Duet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.899025 Composed by Rosanne Irene Brown. Contemporary. Score. 9 pages. Rosanne Irene Brown #3629061. Published by Rosanne Irene Brown (A0.899025). These five movements are all based on themes meowed by my parents' talented tom cat. He sings about himself and his opinionated feline friends, Fluffy and Pepper, who are only too glad to listen. The words delight cat-loving audience members and can be sung along, even on recital, for a nice mix of a classical sound and good humor. The set includes one simple duet which can be learned by an early intermediate student but is not essential to the composition. Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1476050 Composed by Kieran Brennan and Paul Brennan. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Film/TV,Multicultural,New Age,World. 38 pages. John Ivor Holland #1053600. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1476050). Theme from Harry's Game is a 1982 song by Clannad commissioned as the theme for 'Harry's Game', a Yorkshire Television miniseries adapted from a 1975 novel set in The Troubles in Northern Ireland. It was released as a single in October 1982 and became a surprise hit, reaching number 5 in the UK Singles Chart the following month and number 2 in the Irish Singles Chart. The song is to date the only British hit single ever to have been sung entirely in Irish. The chorus Fol lol the doh fol the day, Fol the doh fol the day, is ancient Irish mouth-music, known as Portaireacht, which is common in traditional music. The song won an Ivor Novello award, and launched Clannad's global career. It has since appeared in several Hollywood movies, most notably 'Patriot Games', in which an IRA member, played by Patrick Bergin, is seen watching the music video for the song on his television. Available for concert bands worldwide for the first time, this haunting piece would provide a contrasting interlude in a programme of film and television music and features passages for cor anglais, which are cued for smaller ensembles.

Guitar Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1444004 By David Babyface Foster. By David Babyface Foster. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Film/TV. Score and Parts. 24 pages. Derek Hasted #1023964. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1444004). Love Theme from ST ELMO'S FIRE - GUITAR QUARTET/large ensembleFor Classical or Acoustic GuitarDerek Hasted writes This charming instrumental was the Love Theme from the film “St. Elmo’s Fire” and it makes a lovely guitar ensemble item for a concert. It will suit a quartet or a larger ensemble. My arrangement is just a semitone lower than the original and moves the piece to a familiar and comfortable set of notes for the intermediate player. There is limited Left Hand fingering - whilst the lower parts remain in first position much of the time, the upper parts go up the neck. Players confident up the neck might stay up there, but less experienced players might want to return to more familiar territory as soon as possible, so please add the fingering that works for you.The original has the luxury of instruments with long sustain, and with contrasting tone colours. In order to make sure that the tune cuts through, be sure to listen to those around you…The whole piece is here, lasting 5 minutes or so. The original saxophone ending is included, but you might feel that on guitar it finishes more solidly 3 measures from the end, where an alternative ending is indicated..I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.
