String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1250755 By Frank Sinatra. By Fred Ebb and John Kander. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Film/TV,Jazz,Pop,Standards. 16 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #845029. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1250755). New York, New York is really a song that needs no introduction! Written as the theme for the Martin Scorsese film of the same name in 1977, the song was originally performed by Liza Minnelli, and her version received a Golden Globe nomination that year. However, it didn't really become a mainstream hit until 1978, when Frank Sinatra included it in his performances at Radio City Music Hall; his version quickly became a massive success, and it's now considered one of his signature songs. To this day, it's still one of the best-known songs of all time about New York City, and it's been included in AFI's list of the top 100 songs in American cinema -- so you can't go wrong adding this one to your gig books! This Cellobat arrangement for your string quartet features the soaring melodies, catchy big-band horn riffs, fun jazz harmonies, and feel-good vibe of the original for a chart your group will love to play...and you're sure to get your audience singing along, too! Rated advanced-intermediate for a few tricky rhythms and accidentals; this will be playable for more advanced students and sightreadable for professionals.Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. Instrumental Duet,Piano Euphonium,Instrumental Duet,Piano,Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927030 Composed by Franz Schubert, Kayla Roth. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 27 pages. Kayla Roth #3373343. Published by Kayla Roth (A0.927030). From the composer's program notes included with this purchase:I have taken Schubert’s famous setting and arranged it in a set of musical homages to other composers. I have also included Schubert’s original theme, transposed down to F, and I would recommend playing it twice in the beginning to give your audience a good idea of it.For most of the pieces, I tried to capture the composer’s overall style; however, there are a few particular pieces that are either quoted or used as the stylistic basis, as follows: Mozart - I based this variation, stylistically, on Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major (K.467), specifically movement two (Andante), as well as some of his earliest childhood piano compositions. Symphony 40 in G minor (K.550) is quoted rhythmically. Strauss, Jr. - For inspiration, I used Du und Du, Op. 367, a waltz that is derived from various parts of his beloved operetta, Die Fledermaus. I quoted rhythms from this, as well as from Frühlingsstimmen, Op. 410. Joplin - I didn’t base this on any particular piece of Joplin’s; I tried to include elements that are common in his rags (a short introduction, arpeggiated diminished seventh chords, chromaticism, syncopation over a boom-chuck). Perhaps the best advice comes from Joplin himself: Don’t play this piece fast. It is never right to play ragtime fast. Porter - I had to include an offering from the Great American Songbook! Frank Sinatra recorded several of Porter’s well-known tunes in the 1940s, such as Easy To Love, Night and Day, and I Love You; his renditions of these songs are heavy on the schmaltz and sentimentality, which is exactly what I was trying to achieve in this variation.Bach - The minor variation! I had Fugue in G minor, BWV 578 (Little Fugue) in mind when writing this.der Jodelkönig - As Heidenröslein is a strophic, folk-songesque German piece, I thought it fitting to end the variations with an imitation of traditional Alpine yodeling.  It is named in honor of Franzl Lang, the Yodelking.

French Horn Quartet Horn - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1252433 Composed by Monty Norman. Arranged by Peter Clark. 20th Century,Film/TV,Jazz. 8 pages. Petey C. #846404. Published by Petey C. (A0.1252433). Hey Friends! As always, I have a couple public domain arrangements on my website, peteyc.com. Check them out, they're cheaper and support me more than what little percentage I get from here. This arrangement is one of my most viewed on my YouTube channel. I made it several years ago and it's been very popular to play live as well. It's an iconic theme that's been around since the 1960's. If you play in a horn quartet, this is the arrangement to get. There are no drums in the arrangement like there are in my recording, but you can get a great idea of how it sounds by the YouTube link here.Like all of my arrangements, I like to pass around melodic stuff so none of the parts are boring. This arrangement has some pretty extreme range and some fluttertongue in one of the parts. It's not extremely difficult but it can be challenging. Not for beginners. Intermediate to advanced. Thanks for checking it out!

Piano Accompaniment, Dan CutchenTime: approximately 6:00And Can It Be That I Should Gain? is a Christian hymn written by Charles Wesley. And Can It Be was written in 1738 to celebrate Wesley's conversion, which he regarded as having taken place on May 21 of that year. This beautiful hymn has been popular and enduring. And Can It Be That I Should Gain is perhaps one of the most joyfully poignant hymns penned by Charles Wesley (1707-1788). On Whitsunday (Pentecost), May 21, 1738, three days before his brother John experienced his heart strangely warmed,’ Charles was convalescing in the home of John Bray, a poor mechanic, when he heard a voice saying, In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, arise, and believe, and thou shalt be healed of all thy infirmities. The voice was most likely Mr. Bray’s sister who felt commanded to say these words in a dream.Anglican hymn writer Timothy Dudley-Smith, notes that the following then happened:Charles got out of bed and opening his Bible read from the Psalms: He have put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God, followed by the first verse of Isaiah 40, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He wrote in his journal, I have found myself at peace with God, and rejoiced in the hope of love Christ (Dudley-Smith, 1987, 1).The statement from Mr. Bray’s sister sparked within Charles a conviction like he had never felt before. Moved and convicted in spirit, Charles wrestled with these words until he came to rest in his faith, knowing that it is by faith we are saved (Ephesians 2:8).Soon after this conversion experience, he wrote two hymns in celebration of the amazing love he had come to know: And Can It Be that I Should Gain and Where Shall My Wondering Soul Begin? (United Methodist Hymnal, 342)There has been some debate as to which hymn was written first, but most current scholarship accepts the latter as the first hymn written by Charles after his conversion experience. No matter its place in the chronology of Wesley's output, And Can It Be has been and remains one of his most remarkable hymns, expressing like no other the rapturous joy of receiving salvation. And Can It Be That I Should Gain.
