S. M. Torchio: En Archè en o Logos (2007)

A deep and powerful reflection on the first lines of John's Gospel and the mistery of the Creation and of the beginning. The fascinating sound of ancient Greek creates a dialectic relationship with the modern international english language. All happens wihin a very interesting proposal for an avantgarde sacred music fitted for liturgical uses too. A considerable number of singers and of strings is required in order to create an adequate sound space and colour. Particular care is required by the intonation and the creation and substain of the right tone (which are perhaps the biggest challenge by the piece) but the entire music created by the phonemata and the training about it could be very funny and very precious and helpful for an interesting growth of a very fine Choir. The piece won the International Composition Competition Anima Mundi organized by the Opera Primaziale di Pisa in 2009.

Small Ensemble Bass Guitar,Drums,Piano,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.969094

Composed by Dick Coburn, John Schonberger, and Vincent Rose. Arranged by Dan Gabel. Contemporary. Score and parts. 2 pages. Daniel Clayton Gabel #6256055. Published by Daniel Clayton Gabel (A0.969094).

A favorite of bands, jazz musicians, and dancers for one hundred years, Whispering has stood the test of time. It is a great tune, and one of great historic importance that deserves a place in your band's library!

This is more than a lead sheet: it is an arrangement in Ab, including the lyrics, and the rarely-heard verse (with a second set of lyrics). This is ready to pass out to your combo: bass, guitar, drums, piano, voice, and some horns, too.
The chart is professionally engraved and formatted for ease of reading.
Optional Tag ending provides a nice arranged ending for your group as well.

This arrangement is based on the stellar recording by Bing Crosby with Bob Scoby's Frisco Jazz Band on:
Bing with a Beat (RCA Victor, 1957) - see history below.

Whispering - a brief history:
One of the first recordings made by a Big Band, it was a huge hit for Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra, selling over one-million copies in 1920. Benny Goodman's Trio recorded a famous version for Victor in 1936 featuring Teddy Willson on piano and Gene Krupa on drums. The pleasing chord changes are the basis for the famous contrafact by Dizzy Gillespie: Groovin' HighRevived once again with the original verse, Bing Crosby recorded it on one of the best jazz vocal albums of the 1950s: Bing with a Beat, with Bob Scoby's Frisco Jazz Band.

Because of the historic importance and the great melody, Whispering was chosen by Dan Gabel (the arranger of this lead sheet) as his personal theme tune in 2010. Gabel opens every show with different arrangements of the song, featured by Dan Gabel's High Society Orchestra (Hot Jazz of the Roaring 20s), and recorded and featured with great success by Dan Gabel and The Abletones (Big Band).

SKU: A0.526184

By Jimmy Eat World. By James Adkins, Richard Burch, Thomas Linton, and Zachary Lind. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Contemporary,Pop,Rock. 9 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #5828797. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.526184).

One of the biggest and most ubiquitous hits of the early 2000's, The Middle was a breakout hit for Jimmy Eat World that placed them among the ranks of other big names of the day like Weezer, Blink-182 and Green Day. It was impossible not to know this song back then, and it has since become a classic throwback song for the millennial generation! This arrangement for violin and cello duet maintains the fun upbeat tempo, catchy melodic lines, and dynamic contrasts of the original, and you'll definitely get everybody singing along! Perfect for pop concerts, solo & ensemble contests, parties, corporate events, or any occasion that needs some nostalgic pop-punk, this chart will be sightreadable for professionals and playable for advanced-intermediate students (there's nothing too tricky here, but there is a guitar solo in the violin part that goes by pretty quickly!).

Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. LEGEND OF MERMAIND - Sara's slow version - (Piano accompaniment) for INTERMEDIATE PIANO

Hello! My name is Alba and I consider myself the biggest Pichi Pichi Pitch fan since I was a little kid, like many others my age. I've always been obsessed with Sara's version of Legend of Mermaind. It's such a beautiful arrangement and the way it fits the scene makes me cry every time, so I really wanted to play it, but after years of searching for the sheet music without finding anything, I decided to arrange it myself. It took me a lot of time, I'm not going to lie, since the piece is more difficult than it seems, at least for me, since I'm still relatively new to the piano. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :-).
