This 20-second song begins every episode of the show. It is here arranged to replicate the original song's instrumentation, using five voices and a tambourine. Several outside sounds are heard when the song begins the show, such as the bouncing of a basketball. Such sounds have not been included in this transcription. This piece was here arranged to accurately dictate what the original performers did in their recording of the song itself. .

If one keeps the title Angels, the surprise ending will be kept to the end. Lovely harmonies and emotions, with the climax at m 52 followed by the surprise ending.Milk this little song for all it's worth. My heart swells just for going through it in my head!! Feedback would be appreciated.   After thinking about ANGELS, I HAVE TO TELL YOU the most important line in the song. After the Daddy tells the child what angels are, he says, They call them angels in Heaven (beautiful spot in the son), but we call them MOTHERS down here. Such a tear-jerker, I think!!

Returning home, he began his law practice and eventually became mayor of Guben. As an avocation, the Lutheran politician wrote poems–and soonbecame known as one of the leading hymnists of his time, ranked only behind Gerhard. He is credited for the creation of a group of so-called Jesus hymns, building the foundation for the pietistic hymn movement that would later sweep through Europe. Franck once wrote that poetry should be the nurse of piety, the herald of immortality, the promoter of cheerfulness, the conqueror of sadness, and a foretaste of heavenly glory. Indeed, his hymns echoed his own spirit of encouragement.Lyndell Leatherman (b. 1953) was born into a Nazarene parsonage in southeast Kansas. After studying church music and composition at Olivet Nazarene University (Kankakee, Illinois) and Illinois State University (Bloomington-Normal, Illinois), he launched into a life of music ministry. Since 1977 he has enjoyed a diverse career as church musician, editor, accompanist, composer, and arranger. In 1998 he became aware of Franck’s eucharistic / Advent hymn, translated either Deck Thyself with Joy and Gladness (Mattes) or Deck Thyself, My Soul, with Gladness (Winkworth). Pink Floyd is regarded as classic rock, but Money, with its walking bass line is really more of a jazz tune. This versatile arrangement works for multiple instrumental combos. And besides the main melody line, I added a cello counter-melody, which works pretty well within what might be termed the development section, which crescendos to a dramatic roar. So, depending on your audience, the optional repeat extends this tune to a full 8 minutes. We performed this once for a hedge fund party. As it's a GREAT piece, they loved it despite the lyrics!

Although it was sung by Bing Crosby in the film Here is My Heart, which was released on December 28, 1934, Cliff Edwards (AKA Ukulele Ike) released a recording on October 19 of that year on the Perfect and Banner labels. The song has become a standard, recorded by other many artists over the decades. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you will like! It's a pretty song and not too hard to play!

This particular piece can almost be described as 'Baroque Jazz', the level of counterpoint achieved is truly stunning, in fact as I was piecing this arrangement together from an ancient Organ score, you could almost tell what the man was thinking, which kind of makes musical analysis fun,(or not!!)
