This arrangement starts quietly and the piano accompaniment has a tender line that weaves into the verse breaks.   Verse one and verse two do not do the chorus.  We wait for it- and then FINALLY when we get to the third verse we get to play the 'He Lives!' chorus.  And the flute simply states that up high on beautiful third register G while the piano finishes the phrase.  It's a touching way to testify. The flute part dips down to low e, but to really play this well you need to be able to play a gorgeous high g.  That's the note on which you spin a beautiful vibrato.You'll need a really good pianist.Please listen to the recording.I hope you feel and enjoy what this music can teach you in your soul.

Ezekiel 47:1-9.Vidi aquam is a setting of a Sprinkling Rite for Eastertide composed for SATB chorus (divisi) unaccompanied. This work is written in a style that results in music that is ever-changing; flowing in one harmonic direction but never reaching the desired destination. In it, I make use of the original antiphon in small fragments and, near the end, the Doxology is sung by both men's and women's voices. Unique harmonic structure is core to my effort to bring these timeless chants to life in this composition. One should listen to and channel Gregorian Chant when preparing this piece with the intent of evoking a style of singing that echoes its qualities. -Connor KoppinDuration: 4:40.

Vesti la giubba (Put on the costume) is a famous tenor aria from Ruggero Leoncavallo's 1892 opera I Pagliacci. Vesti la giubba is sung at the conclusion of the first act, when Canio discovers his wife's infidelity, but must nevertheless prepare for his performance as Pagliaccio the clown because The show must go on. The aria is often regarded as one of the most moving in the operatic repertoire of the time. The pain of Canio is portrayed in the aria and exemplifies the entire notion of the tragic clown: smiling on the outside but crying on the inside. This is still displayed today, as the clown motif often features the painted-on tear running down the cheek of the performer. The 1904 recording by Enrico Caruso was the first million-selling record in history. This aria is often used in popular culture and has been featured in many renditions, mentions, and spoofs. In this arrangement for SATB Saxophone Quartet written in 2013, the original key has been transposed to a more saxophone-friendly key. The tenor saxophone is featured.
