This arrangement starts out with the song's original pedal point harmonies, arpeggiated and embellished with subtle reharmonization and superimposed melodic figures. From here, the arrangement continues by use of cascading arpeggios played by the left hand, supplying a polyrhythmic accompaniment for the song's melody in the right. Throughout the arrangement, the right hand melody is mostly acompanied by oscillating eighth notes played in the same hand, supplying countermelodic tension and release within the hamonic structure.
