Woodwind Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.722596 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Randy Calistri-Yeh. Baroque,Christmas,Concert,Sacred. 54 pages. Custom Chamber Music #3630615. Published by Custom Chamber Music (A0.722596). Thus Saith the Lord (sometimes misspelled Thus Sayeth the Lord) is the first bass recitative of Handel's Messiah. In this arrangement, its dramatic melody works very well as an instrumental solo, accompanied by a single violin. This remarkable arrangement gives you a choice of 13 solo instruments, accompanied by 1-3 other string or woodwind instruments. So it works as a duet, trio, or quartet. Among the thousands of combinations are traditional string duet/trio/quartet, traditional and modified woodwind duet/trio/quartet, clarinet duet/trio/quartet, viola duet/trio/quartet, saxophone duet/trio/quartet, and mixed ensemble. Solo parts are provided in two different octaves, and support most tenor and bass string/woodwind instruments (viola, cello, bass, alto/bass/contrabass clarinet, tenor/baritone/bass saxophone, bassoon, contrabassoon, and French horn). Note that this has been transposed to E minor to better fit the instruments. The instant download contains the score and all parts.

Euphonium,Flugelhorn,Trombone,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1158153 Composed by Dr. Daniel N. Thrower. 20th Century,Chamber,Christian,Classical,Religious. 25 pages. Https://gildedmusicpress.com/ #758458. Published by https://gildedmusicpress.com/ (A0.1158153). Originally set for SATB choir with brass accompaniment, the creative setting that was performed in 2000 was for four flugelhorns and euphonium without choir. Although it was effective, and the premiere was a success, Dr. Thrower revised the work for the established instrumentation of the brass quintet. Even in this publication, though, he strayed from this belief by calling for euphonium in place of the trombone, if available. If not, trombone is perfectly acceptable. The trumpeters should perform their parts on flugelhorns if possible.

Bells,Handbell,Handchime,Piano Accompaniment - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565861 By Sharon Wilson. By Lewis E. Jones. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Easter,Instructional,Praise & Worship,Sacred. 10 pages. Sharon Wilson #6285349. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565861). This sheet music is arranged for a one octave, 13-note chromatic scale Handbell choir with Piano accompaniment. The piano provides an introduction then the Handbells play the melody and frequent 2-part harmony. An optional repeat and second ending is included in case a longer song is desired. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instruments (Handbells and Piano) on a grand staff plus two separate scores for the Handbells (one in standard format with black and white notes and the second with color-coded notes). The color-coded score is enlarged so the colors are easier to distinguish and all sharps and flats are displayed (shown in the key of C) as reminders for beginning ringers. A color-coded note chart is also provided showing the Handbell notes used for this arrangement as well as the number of times each note is played. The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to ringers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the bells between all ringers. As noted above, one of the Handbell scores is color-coded for easier note reading for beginning ringers. This separate color-coded score uses the Chroma-Notesâ„¢ Colored Music System. If you have a set of Handbells with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Handbells match this color scheme. Permission is granted to make up to 10 copies of each score. For more than 10 copies, please purchase additional sets. This arrangement is one of the 10 songs in the collection Melodies to the Lord (A Collection of 10 Hymns for One Octave Handbells with Piano accompaniment). String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1324492 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Historic,Traditional. 9 pages. Jmsgu3 #912690. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1324492). Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is a well-known Christmas carol with exciting facts surrounding its creation and evolution. Here are some intriguing details about the song:The original song was published as Hark, How All the Welkin Rings in the 1739 Wesley hymnal, Hymns and Sacred Poems. The second line, as written by Charles Wesley, read Glory to the King of kings, not Glory to the newborn King. The change from welkin to herald angels was made by George Whitfield, altering the meaning of Wesley's metaphor. The tune we usually associate with Hark! The Herald was written by Felix Mendelssohn in 1840 and was not intended as a sacred song. Mendelssohn wrote it to commemorate the four-hundredth anniversary of Gutenberg's printing press. The song was initially intended to be sung to the same tune as Charles Wesley's Easter hymn, Christ the Lord Is Risen Today. In 1855, British musician William Hayman Cummings adapted Mendelssohn's secular music to fit the lyrics of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing by Charles Wesley. The hymn highlights the virgin birth, the universal application of the coming of the incarnate Deity to all nations, and the significance of Christ's birth in Bethlehem. These facts shed light on the historical and musical significance of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, adding depth to its enduring popularity as a Christmas carol.
