Beginning with a fanfare introduction, the first stanza is presented in a powerful, straight-forward style. Two softer, more flowing stanzas are next, featuring LV accompaniments, a treble counter-melody, the tune in the middle range, and an eighth note obbligato. A crescendo leads into the fanfare sounds of the introduction and a brilliant, shimmering conclusion.

Also, the work could be useful with a junior high choir, as the range is within the scope of the junior high baritone voice. Flute part included.
