While it doesn't attempt to portray images directly connected with the Dorset coastline, the location of its composition has a natural link with the sea and the atmosphere in Dorset.The piece was commissioned by the Department for Continuing Education at Cardiff University and written for Richard Jenkinson who gave its first performance in South Wales (UK) in 1998.
