Contemporary,Pop,Singer/Songwriter,Wedding. 10 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #1040465. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1461717). *INSTRUMENTATION: VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO*Jacob Dodge Lawson, better known to fans around the world as JVKE, is a singer-songwriter and pianist who began releasing his self-produced music while stuck at home during pandemic lockdowns. Audiences around the world were soon captivated by his ethereal voice, unconventional song constructions, and virtuosic piano skills; his song Golden Hour became his first Billboard hit and kickstarted his career as a touring and award-winning artist. Along with Golden Hour, his debut EP included another breakthrough hit, This Is What Falling In Love Feels Like, which has also become a widely played and platinum-certified song. So it's no wonder people have been requesting it for strings! This Cellobat arrangement for your violin/viola/cello trio was originally written for a wedding ceremony, but it will also be great for prelude, cocktail hour, receptions, parties, and more. Maintaining the quirky energy, wall-of-sound approach, and signature string lines of the original, this one is sure to be lots of fun to play! Rated advanced-intermediate for a few tricky rhythms, tempo changes, and a few high notes in the violin part (up to 5th position); this won't be too difficult to put together, but will probably warrant a run-through before performing.Sarah “Cellobat” Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. You may have seen her onstage with legendary rock band Aerosmith as the cellist for their “Deuces Are Wild” residency, playing more than 50 sold-out shows with the Bad Boys from Boston; she is also the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. Broadway,Christian,Classical,Musical/Show,Religious. 50 pages. Ralph Coleman #769509. Published by Ralph Coleman (A0.1169160). This musical Ruth tells the story according to the Jewish tradition. This story is also one of the books in the Bible, in the Old Testament. While artistic and historical licence has been taken, I believe that this musical is true to the essence, values and integrity of a story that is part of the religious tradition of millions of people worldwide. The musical has been written for a small orchestra with a difficulty grade of 3, making it perfectly accessible to collegiate symphonic ensembles. Lyrics in English and French are available. The eleventh piece (out of a total of 16) named Je veux t'aimer pour la vie (I'll love you evermore) has a duration of 05:00. Boaz sleeps peacefully by the heap of grain on the threshing floor, and Ruth comes under the blanket with him. He suddenly wakes up (measure 24) and Ruth asks him if he would be willing to marry her. He accepts, but knows that the matter must be discussed at the city gate because he is not the closest kin.

Voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8492-30E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 5 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-30E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-30E). French.Gouvy was known for writing some of the most beautiful melodies of the Romantic period. His style is a combination of German forms and an early French romantic harmonic structure. His writing for the piano in the songs is totally unified in mood and description with the voice, just as the piano is in Schubert’s songs. The equal partnership of the vocal line and piano interact closely to bring the poetry vividly into life with unimaginable artistic heights and unbridled passion. This volume includes Gouvy songs set to 18 poems of Philippe Desportes (1546–1606), and 18 poems of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872). The elements of Romantic love poetry, such as enchanting love and its pain, and the personifying of nature, are fluently described with a great sensitivity in both voice and piano. Gouvy’s melody stir up the imagination because of his special treatment of words through a distinguishable and melodious vocal line, and his story telling and poetic treatment and development of the piano accompaniment. His compositional artistry places him in the upper echelons of art-song composers. One should note that Gouvy had a special fondness for the 16th Century poetry of La Pléiade (a group of Renaissance French poets, led by Pièrre de Ronsard (1524–1585). Desportes was truly the heir to Ronsard; however his work, when compared to that of Ronsard, is filled with greater abstraction and greater fluidity. Desportes seems to avoid any of the passionate anger that is occasionally characteristic of La Pléiade. This may be an indication that Desportes lived in a less distressed time. It also seems necessary to point out that he learned much in his early career by copying and studying the earlier works of La Pléiade. This has led some scholars to label him as a plagiarist, but it is important to realize that all the members of La Pléiade copied from each other when they wished to learn something new, and truly understand the style of the other poets in the group. Gouvy’s only choice of poems from his contemporaries, were the works of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872), a good friend of Gouvy’s. Much of his poetry was strongly political in support of freedom of the individual. He traveled to Leipzig in 1845, but when the authorities discovered a volume of patriotic poems entitled Kelch und Schwert (Chalice and Sword), he fled to Belgium and France. It is at this time that he possibly met Théodore Gouvy. Eighteen poems of Hartmann were translated from German to French by the French poet, Adolph Larmande, of whom very little is known. Pierre Toussaint Adolphe Larmande seems to have been a rather obscure poet and musician. We know that he taught music theory at the Paris Conservatory at the same time Anton Reicha and Michele Carafa were on the faculty. We also know that in 1847 he married an English woman by the name of Marie Caroline Bradley. There are random documents, such as a Certificate of Arrival in London, England, in 1837, but there are no birth and death dates given, and that includes his obituary notice. Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1261681 Composed by Robert Daniel. Broadway,Classical,Film/TV,Musical/Show. 25 pages. RDMusicStudios #854759. Published by RDMusicStudios (A0.1261681). On April 19, 2019, I started writing my first composition, His Memory, on my first album, Show Your Pride. The Show Your Pride album was influenced by my best friend, Nigel Shelby, who tragically passed away by suicide after experiencing bullying for being outed as gay. It has been a few years since his death turned a national spotlight on the issue of LGBTQIA+ mental health and bullying. He was 15 years old at the time of his passing. I feel like I've been stabbed in the heart when I found he was gone. It was the first time I had lost anybody that I was close to. I was in a lot of pain at the time. Losing my best friend is one of the most difficult and heartbreaking experiences I have had in my life. This album is telling a coming-out story about a bisexual musician going on a self-discovery journey to find his true authentic self. I first met Nigel in mid-2018 when I was nervous, struggling with depression, and coming out as bisexual, so I gathered enough strength and confidence to come out to him. He's very kind and supportive of me. He was brave enough to come out to me as well. He has been a really good friend and my spirit guide as long as I've known him. He was understanding, thoughtful, and had a maturity about him that I admired. I feel happy and honored to have known him and had the best friends with him. I truly believe he is watching over me every day. In this inspirational, heartbreaking piece, His Memory, I will share a coming-out story about two boys who came out to each other, spending their friendship together until one of them passes away. This piece is based on a true story of how I coped with grief, dealing with depression about my best friend's passing, and how I found happiness within myself after his memorial service. It drew inspiration from many compositions and soundtracks, including Where The Sky Has No Stars by Katahj Copley, Lose You Now by Lindsey Stirling (feat. Mako), You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, April Sky by Lin Chin Cheng, and Avatar The Last Airbender by Jeremy Zuckerman. These compositions I mentioned express hope and spark memories of lost loved ones. This piece is in 3 Acts: Friendship, I Lost You. and His Memory Lives On. Each one was inspired by actual events. Act I: Friendship Act II: I Lost You Act III: His Memory Lives On While you are listening to this piece, I want you to think about someone you love who is no longer with you. If you're one of those people who lost someone special to you, I am so sorry for your loss. Just know that you are not alone. Don't try to run and hide from your grief. Whatever your grief experience, it's important to be patient with yourself and allow the process to naturally unfold. You will grieve for as long as you need to, but you are a strong person and will find your way through this. Life is so precious. Cherish every moment with your loved ones. Coming out is one of the most difficult things a person can do, but if you are having difficulty or are unsure about it, just know that there are people out there who do love you for who you are. Learn to embrace your authentic self. Don't let your sexual orientation define who you are. The right people will accept you and those are the only people who matter. Be yourself, be happy, and do what you feel. Don't care so much about what others think and enjoy your life! Keep following your heart and don't be afraid to stand out!

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.750785 Composed by E. T. Paull (1908). Arranged by Brendan Elliget MAGA 537. Contemporary. Score and parts. 115 pages. BJE Music #3567783. Published by BJE Music (A0.750785). The Home Coming March (1908) - Concert Band Score and Parts PDF Music by: ET Paull Of course, eventually, all the soldiers and sailors had to eventually come home from all the battles and Paull had that eventuality well covered also. The artwork on the front cover (of unknown origin) is one that is full of imagery that covers all aspects of the services, Army and Navy and is full of patriotic and familial ideals. The border lists all of the US States and the corner pictures depict aspects of homecoming. The main image is a parade of victory. Let's let Paull explain it all to us as he did on the inside cover. Why This Piece Of Music Was Named The Home Coming March   Explanatory When the author had about completed the music of the present march, it occurred to him that it might be well to have suggestions made from a number of people, recommending a good name for same, for after all there is considerable in a name. He, therefore, had a special advertisement placed in several of the leading music Journals throughout the country, offering a prize of $10.00 in gold to anyone suggesting a name that would be accepted. Over three thousand names were sent in from all parts of the country, even from far away New Zealand and Australia, in which countries the author's marches are universal favorites. Included in the letters received was one from Mr. W. C. Bates, Secretary of the Sheffield Advertising Agency of New York and Chicago, in which he suggested the name The Home Coming March. After due consideration, this name was accepted, and the prize was awarded and paid to Mr. Bates, who stated that he was prompted to recommend this name on account of having been present during the impressive celebration of Old Home Week in Boston, Mass., last year. Probably no one idea is so universally dominant in the mind of the Human Race as that of home, or matters pertaining to home. The author believes that the name selected is one that will appeal to everyone; as the many pleasant associations with the words Home Coming are almost without limit. The title page of this march is without any exception the handsomest seen on a piece of music. The main body of the title pace represents a street scene, with buildings decorated and shows a handsome royal Arch of Welcome in the foreground, gaily decorated with flags, emblems, and bunting. A band is shown passing under the arch, leading a procession of the Home Guard, and thousands of people waving handkerchiefs, banners, flags, etc. Four smaller scenes also appear on the page, one representing the Home Coming of the soldier from war; another scene shows the Home Coming of the sailor boys embarking from their battleships; another scene represents the Home Coming reunion of the family and loved ones; the fourth scene represents the Home Coming of the father from work, where a little tot has been watching and waiting, and runs to meet him. The whole design of the title page is then surrounded by a border of differently designed medallions, on which appears the names of all the States of the Union, making without a doubt, the most unique and attractive title page ever conceived for a piece of music. One thing Paull mastered early in his career was the art of overstatement! Musically, this march is beginning to show the repetitiveness of many of Paull's works, especially evident as time passed. Once Paull found the formula (a fabulous cover and a playable, rousing march) that sold music, he stuck with it and was quite successful as a result. This arrangement is for Full Concert Band with the original optional piano part ( Not on the score).  There are parts for Trombones 1 and 2 in TC and BC as well as parts of Euphonium in TC and BC.  The MP3 was recorded with NotePerformer 3.Grade = 3.5  Duration =.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1200229 By Skeeter Davis. By Arthur Kent and Sylvia Dee. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Pop,Rock,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #799031. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1200229). An arrangement of The End Of The World,  a song covered by many famous artists. includingThe Carpenters; thanks to the phenomenal singing of Karen Carpenter.  The End of the World was written by composer Arthur Kent and lyricist Sylvia Dee, who often worked as a team. The Carpenters (officially known as Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo consisting of siblings Karen (1950–1983) and Richard Carpenter (born 1946). They produced a distinctive soft musical style, combining Karen's contralto vocals with Richard's harmonizing, arranging, and composition skills. During their 14-year career, the Carpenters recorded 10 albums along with many singles and several television specials. Karen possessed a powerful singing voice, and close miking brought out many nuances in her performances.  Richard arranged their music to take advantage of this, though Karen had a three-octave vocal range.  Richard's work with Karen was influenced by the music of Les Paul, whose overdubbing of the voice of wife and musical partner Mary Ford allowed her to be used as both the lead and harmony vocals.[6] By multi-tracking, Richard was able to use Karen and himself for the harmonies to back Karen's lead. The overdubbed background harmonies were distinctive to the Carpenters, but it was the soulful, engaging sound of Karen's lead voice that made them so recognizable.  Record executive Mike Curb said it was Karen's voice that took the Carpenters above straight pop music into pop rock.   She was known as a one take wonder and could deliver a strong performance on the first attempt.Richard Carpenter was the creative force behind the Carpenters' sound. An accomplished keyboard player, composer and arranger, music critic Daniel Levitin called him one of the most gifted arrangers to emerge in popular music.  The duo's smooth harmonies were not in step with contemporary music, which was dominated by heavy rock.  Instead, the Carpenters strove for a rich and melodic sound, along the same vein as the Beach Boys and the Mamas & the Papas, but with greater fullness and orchestration including frequent use of small string and horn sections and introspective lyrics centred around relationships.  Richard also admired the musicianship and arranging skills of Frank Zappa, and the two briefly met backstage at the Billboard Forum in 1975.End Of The World: Lyrics:Why does the sun go on shining? Why does the sea rush to shore?Don't they know it's the end of the world?'Cause you don't love me any moreWhy do the birds go on singing? Why do the stars glow above?Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when I lost your love[Bridge]I wake up in the morning and I wonderWhy everything's the same as it wasI can't understand, no, I can't understandHow life goes on the way it doesWhy does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry?Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you said goodbyeWhy does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry?Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you

Timothy Stapay #997124. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1415388). Here is a timeless country classic arranged for piano solo.  A song the whole family will love to sing.Little Green Apples is a classic country song that was recorded by Glen Campbell in 1968.  It was written by Bobby Russell and became a major hit, reaching the top 40 charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The song’s popularity has endured over the years, and it remains a beloved classic in the country music genre. Bobby Gentry sang this song in a wonderful duet with Glenn on his T.V. show.[Verse 1]Well, I wake up in the mornin' with my hair down in my eyesAnd she says, HiAnd I hurry to the breakfast table while the kids are goin' off to school, GoodbyeAnd she reaches out and takes my handAnd squeezes it and says, How you feelin', Hon?And I look across at smilin' lips that warms my heartAnd I see my mornin' sun[Pre-Chorus]And if that's not lovin' meThen all I've got to say[Chorus]God didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertimeThere's no such thing as Dr. SuessDisneyland and Mother Goose, no nursery rhymeGod didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertimeAnd when my self is feelin' lowI think about your face aglow and ease my mind[Verse 2]Sometimes I call him up knowin' he's busyAnd ask if he could get away and meet meMaybe grab a bite to eatAnd he drops what he's doin' and hurries down to meet meAnd I'm always lateHe sits waitin' patiently and smiles when he first sees me'Cause he's made that way [Pre-Chorus]And if that's not lovin' meThen all I've got to say[Chorus]God didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't snow in Indianapolis when the winter comeThere's no such thing as make-believePuppy dogs and autumn leaves, no BB gunGod didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertimeAnd when my self is feelin' lowI think about your face aglow and ease my mind

Small Ensemble Flute,Keyboard,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1005681 Composed by Grace Joy Reid. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 9 pages. Creating Music Joy #6197023. Published by Creating Music Joy (A0.1005681). My original song, Poe's Christmas Eve Carousel Ride, is a microtonal melody for Celesta and/or Flute/Voice, based on Edgar Allan Poe's Evening Star.I imagined Edgar Allan Poe sitting on one of the carousel horses as it was going around and around. While this was happening, he was looking up at the night sky and thought about how much he liked the evening star better than the moon's light. (The celesta is known for its recognized sound in Tchaikovsky's, The Nutcracker Suite, The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.). I figured out how to put it in a quartal tone key in Finale, thanks to Google. I used quartal tones in the left hand, so it's a blend of a tonal melodic line in an atonal landscape.  Edgar Allan Poe had a horrific life. His father abandoned his family when he was young. His mother died when he was a child. After he was adopted, although not legally, he had a falling out with his foster father, who alienated him and didn't let him know that his foster mother was dying. But, he did inform him after she died. Edgar married his cousin, Virginia Clem, who was 13 and he was 26. She died 11 years into their marriage due to tuberculosis. Thus, some writers say that all of his writings have a beautiful woman who died in his stories. He lost all of the women who loved him in his life. When you see his portrait, he has sad eyes, as someone who has suffered much. But, his writing has lived well beyond his lifetime of misery and heartache.  My song symbolizes, not only Poe's poem, but his life, as very difficult, yet beautiful.  With me poetry has not been a purpose, but a passion. Edgar Allan Poe.  Warning:  Before purchasing this music, make sure that you know how to use quartal tones in your keyboard.
