Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167528 Composed by Larry Williams. Contemporary,Folk,Jazz. Individual part. 80 pages. Larry Andrew Williams #767908. Published by Larry Andrew Williams (A0.1167528). A WORD FROM THE COMPOSER Is anyone interested in new reading material anymore? I know that when I was a kid in nineteen hundred and something, the quest for new musical pieces was always one of the funnest aspects of the whole musical journey. Of course I did learn that it would take a long time to  nd those few that would resonate with me for a lifetime, but it was always fun trying them all out. It still is, in fact. Well, times change and people change, but I’d still like to believe that same factor carries on. You know, the one about trying out all that music to get to the few you keep. And what about the few we do keep? For guitar players, was it always a classic from the usual suspects, like Albeniz, Sor, Tarrega,, Granados, Rodrigo, Brouwer, Barrios, Villa-Lobos, or anything by Bach? Was it something our band director or private instructor, one of our friends, or our parents wrote? Or – Heaven forbid- something that maybe we ourselves wrote? Or some “unknown guy.” Consider this.Just how often did some unknown composer's piece greatly affect us as we waded through a daunting pile of the familiar from the known masters? And since some, if not most of these classics are required reading, how often did we even get around to giving this unknown guy's piece a try?And furthermore, was this unknown guy - shudder...alive? Let’s face it. In the composer arena, we the living, stand no chance against the deceased (God rest their souls) But by saying “they don’t write ‘em like that anymore,” are we denying ourselves new ground to be broken, doors to be opened, frontiers to be discovered? And isn’t that pioneering spirit just plain ol’ curiosity when it comes right down to it? Well I believe the key lies within the carrying out of these notions that curiosity places in us. It’s climbing the mountain simply because it is there. So, for right now, I’m that unknown guy and I would only urge you to break new ground every day. Lots of trends, ideas, and interests will come and go in your life, but always hang on to that curiosity. It’s what makes the world a smaller neighborhood. Larry Williams.

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.910399 Composed by Roger Evernden. 20th Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 2 pages. Roger Brian Evernden #5318847. Published by Roger Brian Evernden (A0.910399). 116 was written for my mum and dad. At the time I was living in Virginia in the USA, and I was expecting mum and dad to come and visit for a holiday. Due to an unexpected illness they didn't make it. I wrote this tune for them on the day I found out that they wouldn't be visiting. It's called 116 because that was the number of our family home - 116 Hillside Avenue, in Southampton in the UK.It's a jolly melody, with some classical runs, followed by a dramatic twist in the second section. The first section has a simple bass line and structure that is fun to improvise over - when I play it the 2nd and 3rd repeats are always a bit different each time.

Instrumental Duet,Piano Cello,Instrumental Duet,Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1173377 Composed by Grisha Krivchenia. Classical,Contemporary. Score and parts. 36 pages. Abundant Silence #773525. Published by Abundant Silence (A0.1173377). The Poison Arrow by Grisha Krivchenia For Piano, Violin, and Violoncello, Advanced, 34 Pages The title of The Poison Arrow refers to one of the Buddha's sermons. A young man comes to Siddhatta Gotama with a barrage of ontological questions: how long has the universe been in existence, who created it, etc. Gotama replies with an analogy:It's just as if a man were wounded with an arrow thickly smeared with poison. His friends & companions, kinsmen & relatives would provide him with a surgeon, and the man would say, 'I won't have this arrow removed until I know whether the man who wounded me was a noble warrior, a priest, a merchant, or a worker.' He would say, 'I won't have this arrow removed until I know the given name & clan name of the man who wounded me.'[...]The man would die and those things would still remain unknown to him.*In the Buddha's teaching, speculative philosophies are not important; what matters is figuring out how to overcome suffering in everyday life. We will all die without answering the mysteries of physics and metaphysics. So the appropriate thing to do is to focus significant attention on living a better life here and now.The first movement of The Poison Arrow depicts suffering, and a frantic, often fruitless, attempt to find a way out. The second movement is a depiction of life without suffering, completely placid and free.

Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1305308 By Journey. By Jonathan Cain. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Pop,Rock,Wedding. 12 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #894747. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1305308). Faithfully, written by Journey's keyboard player Jonathan Cain, has quite the unusual origin story. After writing the lyrics on the tour bus one day, Cain proceeded to get the melody out of a dream that night, and composed the entire song in 30 minutes the following day. Appropriately, the lyrics describe the difficulties of being a musician and living life on the road, but they end with a reassurance to his spouse that he will always remain faithful. Just as quickly as the song was written, it shot to the top of the charts, hitting number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cementing itself as one of the band's biggest hits. In fact, one magazine even referred to it as the greatest power ballad ever recorded -- so you can't go wrong adding this one to your gig books! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this Cellobat arrangement for violin and cello duet maintains the soaring melodies, dynamic intensity, and even the epic guitar solo of the original for a chart that will be just as much fun to play as it is to listen to! Rated intermediate; this won't be hard to play, but it will definitely make a big impact. Playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals.Sarah “Cellobat” Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild” residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley CrĂŒe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael BublĂ©, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.597602 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Flavio Regis Cunha. Concert,Graduation,Holiday,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 12 pages. Flavio Regis Cunha #6712473. Published by Flavio Regis Cunha (A0.597602). It probably comes as a surprise to many to know that Beethoven wrote variations on the current British national anthem, as well as on a jingoistic tune sung every year at the BBC Proms. But indeed he did. In 1803 he was approached by George Thomson, a civil servant living in Edinburgh who was passionate about collecting folk songs from his own country. He wanted Beethoven to compose six sonatas on Scottish melodies-a project which never materialized, but which started a business relationship that lasted until 1820. For Thomson, Beethoven completed some 150 arrangements of Scottish, Welsh and Irish folk songs (including Auld lang syne). Towards the end of 1803, he sent him these two sets of variations for piano, saying they weren’t too difficult and hoping they would have much success.Concerning the 7 Variations on ‘God save the King’, WoO78, Beethoven made the comment that he wanted to ‘show the English what a blessing they have’ with that tune. We don’t really know who wrote it, but it became very popular in 1745 when it started being sung at Drury Lane and Covent Garden to celebrate the putting-down of the Jacobite rising. It travelled over to the Continent where in 1795 it became the royal anthem of Prussia (‘Heil dir im Siegerkranz’).It makes a great theme for variations, and Beethoven has a lot of fun with it. If ever you needed proof of humour in his music, here it is. After some counterpoint in variation 1, he gives us some nimble fingerwork to deal with before an expressive minor-mode variation that can also be played a bit tongue-in-cheek. He changes metre for variation 6, a perky march, and stays in that time signature for variation 7. A lot of the difficulty of this piece depends on the tempo you choose at this point. The coda is inspired: a brief cadenza-like descent of F major broken chords leads us into a solemn return of the theme, but with some piquant and mischievous harmonies. The final allegro brings the work to a bravura conclusion.

Flute,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.800442 Composed by Sarah Wallin Huff. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. 29 pages. Novel Soundtrax #6360871. Published by Novel Soundtrax (A0.800442). Composed during the worldwide Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020, this fierce work for violin, viola, and flute illustrates the need during such times to unleash pent-up frustrations, fear, sorrow, and anger. The incessant, rapid rhythms and violent articulations don’t seem to find relief until a point in the middle of the work, when the realization hits that there is nothing to be done except to collapse on our living room couches, to “shelter in place”, and wait for the return to “normal” that never seems to come. Thus, locked in a state of restlessness, this musical work builds again to the frenzied madness of the beginning only to end with a rush of “hands thrown into the air”.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.938197 Composed by John Bacchus Dykes. Arranged by April Rundquist. Christian,Sacred. Score. 8 pages. April Ann Rundquist #2033633. Published by April Ann Rundquist (A0.938197). This has always been a very visual arrangement for me with a rough narrative. It starts with the trumpets at the end of the world, the sense of quiet expectation. Wind across a field. It drops off into the silence of outer space. The initial theme presented against that impersonal void, knowing that He's out there, somewhere. Some of this is very difficult for me to describe because this is really about the Triune God, the great creative power, the mover in harmony and cooperation with Himself. The second verse is more grand, the love, the sense of story. And then it gets very, very big, in the way that I AM is always in capitals. Who WAS and IS and evermore shall BE! And in my mind that word BE is light, and just explodes against the blackness into a billion sparkles. And we shrink down to the microcosm for a moment, the wonders of His creative power in the tiny worlds, and it fades to the black of space again. Holy, Holy, Holy, though the darkness hide Thee. The Light that we can't see that would outshine all the stars. More beauty, and then we tumble down the waterfall of Living Water from the Throne of God...in Heaven. The golden palaces and the wonder, the unearthliness, the richness of the life. For a moment it's more simple and I'm reminded of an old hymn being sung in a rustic church. Then a vision of the Cosmic Christ from Revelation giving a benediction, and we're plunged into the chorus of Heaven, the new song of the 144,000. (this part sounds really good on an acoustic piano because the sound physically builds on itself) And it ends as it began...

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534483 Composed by Germaine Tailleferre. 20th Century,Concert,Standards. Score and parts. 65 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3534799. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534483). This work was written in the first months of 1942 while Tailleferre was living in Grasse, in the socolled« Free Zone » of occupied France during the Second World War and was completed just asTailleferre was forced to flee France with her daughter. As the wife of Jean Lageat, who had been thesecretary of the French socialist LĂ©on Blum during the « Front Populaire » period just before the Warand who was at that time in the US working against the Vichy Government, and as someone who wasnot unvocal about her political views, this could not have been a comfortable situation. Tailleferre left arecord of what she experienced during this period in an article written for the American music journal «Modern Music » which she wrote shortly after arriving in America in the Spring of 1942 :« Notwithstanding their staunch spirit of resistence, the people under German rule today areincreasingly bowed down under their burdens. By achieving the physical decline of the French, theNazis hope that spiritual collapse will ensue. However, after two years of quasi-famine, France remainspround and great, although the necessity of liberation grows daily more urgent.....For an artist to workunder these conditions is almost impossible. The mere effort of subsisting wastes time and absorbsenergy ; The means to work are also lacking.....Musical composition is made practically impossiblethrough lack of music paper. For more than a year, I sought in vain to find paper in Lyon, Marseillesand Nice on which to copy an orchestral score...Two years of experience under German rule havetaught me that all expressions of pride, dignity, spirit , aspiration of the human will can be made onlyclaudestinely. It is a historical truth that the human mind makes its greatest progress under freedom ».Under such circumstances, it is a miracle that this work exists at all. The three movement work wasdedicated to the famous Marguerite Long, for whom Tailleferre had already written several short worksfor piano solo, and François Lang, a pianist who was closely linked with the Group des Six and whohad performed in the premiĂšre of the 1934 Concerto Grosso for Two Pianos, 8 Solo Voices, SaxophoneQuartet and Orchestra and for whom Tailleferre wrote two cadenzas for concerti by Mozart and Haydn. The work opens with sunny, optimistism in a mood similar to the opening movement of the ConcertoGrosso, but quickly the mood changes to more dramatic themes. The second movement seems tosubjectively express a rupture with the past and a tragic melancholy. The final third movement isextremely dramatic and almost frightening with it’s force. When Tailleferre left France in the Spring of 1942, having been warned by a neighbor that she wasgoing to be arrested if she didn’t leave immediately, she left the score in a two-piano version, probablydue to the fact that there was no music paper to be had to copy the score. When she returned to Francein 1946, she learned that François Lang had been deported to Auschwitz where he died. Musical life inFrance had been completely changed by the War years. Tailleferre put the work aside and forgot aboutit, perhaps wanting to forget the hardships that she had lived through and the loss of many of her friendsassociated with these years.Tailleferre's version for two pianos is published by Musik Fabrik and the work may be performed inthat version. It is clear however, that the work was intended to be orchestrated and the editors hope thatthe present orchestration will allow the work to finally be presented as Tailleferre conceived duringsome of the darkest years of the Twentieth century.ï»ż

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927456 Composed by Roger Jones, Alison Fuggle. Arranged by Annie Routley. Christian,Easter,Musical/Show,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 98 pages. Christian Music Ministries #6135917. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927456). Rock - a worship musical.Full piano score with SATB choir, solo parts and narration.Starting in Caesarea, Peter's story unfolds in flashback. From fishing, his 3 years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus calls Peter 'the Rock' - but we see that only in Christ, and filled with His Spirit, is Peter on solid ground.Synopsis Traditional words introduce the theme of the Musical: Jesus is our ROCK OF AGES, but the story starts IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. Here, centurion Cornelius declares I’ve had a vision - but who can explain it, who can help? Cornelius’ household tell of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus, and we are taken back to Galilee when Peter, a fisherman, WORKING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, hears Jesus’ call to leave your nets and leave your boats. He responds I WILL FOLLOW YOU. For three years Peter follows Jesus, and when challenged declares YOU ARE MESSIAH, the Son of the living God! Jesus replies On this rock I will build my church, then, ominously, points towards Jerusalem. He and his followers eventually arrive in the city at Passover, and during the meal they wonder IN THIS BREAD, IN THIS WINE, is there love for me? At first reluctant, Peter allows Jesus to wash his feet. Events turn against Jesus; he is arrested, and Peter is afraid. The taunt SURELY YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WITH HIM sees Peter denying he ever knew Jesus. Then their eyes meet across the courtyard, and Peter is devastated by his own failure. But even at such an awful time as this, THE LOOK OF LOVE contains acceptance and hope. WERE YOU THERE WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED MY LORD? Peter wasn’t - he was in hiding along with many of the disciples. But after the resurrection, Jesus greets Peter and the others in Galilee: THIS IS THE PLACE – I am the Lord who comes to meet you here. Jesus asks: SIMON PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME? After being asked three times Peter reaches reality: Lord, you know everything
you know how much I love you! and receives the commission Feed my sheep. Peter and the disciples return to Jerusalem, and wait for the promised Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the Spirit comes, and as A CHOSEN PEOPLE, the followers of Jesus receive his power. Peter preaches, and thousands believe and respond JUST AS I AM
O Lamb of God I come. The Church is born and in the power of the Spirit begin WORKING IN THE FATHER’S BUSINESS, doing the things that Jesus did! Peter eventually arrives IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. He shares his vision with Cornelius and his household, and declares God has no favourites
 you can be saved too
if you believe in Jesus. They believe, receive the power of the Spirit, and Gentiles also become members of the Chosen People, called out of darkness into wonderful light! Peter’s vision is fulfilled – the Gospel is for all who believe in Jesus. Peter declares HE IS THE STONE that the builders rejected
on Jesus the ROCK I will build my life! .
