Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1213599 By Matt Redman. By Jonas Myrin and Matt Redman. Arranged by Kyle Pudenz. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Wedding. Chords/Lyrics. 5 pages. ViolinVagabond Music #810792. Published by ViolinVagabond Music (A0.1213599). Here's a chart designed for the last-minute gigging musician, by the last-minute gigging musician. Indeed, I got called in to sub on a solo violin wedding gig on less than 24 hours' notice, and found this song right at the top of the list. Having not played or listened to it in... a while, I decided to display some semblance of due dilligence and write out a version that would work in the range of a solo instrumental violin. Then, and don't ask me where this sudden magnanimous streak came from, I decided to spin up the same chart with lyrics and chord diagrams just in case I ever needed to play it with a vocalist.Out of the goodness of my heart, ALL of the above is available to you for the low low price of (insert current minimum price for SMP chart). While I was tabbing this out from the perspective of a violinist, the range is pretty universal and should be playable on just about any treble clef instrument. Including the viola... although if you got hired to play solo viola at a wedding or a church service I have questions. It's nothing spectacular, but here's what I can promise you if you buy this chart:- THE CHORDS ARE RIGHT. I honestly can't believe there are people that get the chords to worship songs wrong on their arrangements, but here we are. Rest assured I am not one of them.- YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ IT. Finale collisions and terrible interpretations of vocal rhythms need not apply here.- THE MELODY WILL WORK ON YOUR INSTRUMENT. Again, this is not one of those hyper-transcriptions of every little vocal ornament that was sang on the studio version. I purposefully chose where to simplify vs. embellish the melody so that there's room for instrumental interpretation without getting lost in the details.May this humble arranger's last-minute busy work bring joy to your audience and at least an extra 30 minutes of sleep to you by not having to learn this song the night before the gig. Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.891956 Composed by A.E.Williams. Arranged by Stephen Davies. 20th Century,Standards. Score and Parts. 74 pages. Stephen Davies #6094485. Published by Stephen Davies (A0.891956).    CLARINET CONCERT CONCERTINO FOR WIND BAND I don’t normally enter long descriptions of my arrangements, nothing worse than seeing that little sign on the bottom right saying ‘see more’, however this piece has a rather interesting story that I’d like to share with you! It was maybe 8 or 9 years ago that I helped in the library of the Band Of The Guards Association, a group of musicians who were all members of the Household Division Bandsin London, that is to say the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish, Welsh, Life Guards and Blues & Royals bands, chiefly known the world over for Changing The Guard at Buckingham Palace and many other ceremonial occasions. The Band Of The Guards Association were privileged to rehearse at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the famous Chelsea Pensioners, renowned for their Redcoats and medals as veterans of the British Army. Our library of music for the band at the time was held in an air raid shelter deep in the cellars underneath the labyrinthine corridors of the old building built by Sir Christopher Wren back in the 1680’s. When I say ‘air raid shelter’, that is exactly what it was like! Can’t go into too much detail, but suffice it to say that it was like being transported back in time! But this is where the library was kept, complete with dusty shelves, blackout warnings, obsolete bulb replacements and tunnels to the Thames! The man in charge of the library was Mr.Gordon ‘Joe’ Stafford, former Solo Clarinet with HM Band Of The Welsh Guards (ret’d), a fine player of that instrument in his day, and revered as such even now. About 8 years ago, our ‘underground ‘ library was deemed a fire hazard, and we were ‘invited’ to move it elsewhere. As we had our practice room nearby in the Chelsea Hospital, we decided to relocate the whole library there, shelving being built and constructed by enthusiastic band members. Joe Stafford and myself were not particularly enthusiastic about this, but it had to be done. Having looked at the enormous amount of music to be moved, we thought about ditching some of the scores which would never be played again, for instance selections of musicals long forgotten, scores with multiple missing parts etc. Lots of that music went to local music organisations simply for sight reading purposes, and the more complete versions went to bands and orchestras to bolster their stock of scores. After the laborious sorting out in the air raid shelter, Joe and I had the unenviable task of discarding the scores and parts that were incomplete, defaced, or just basically useless. It was an arbitrary case of ‘keep or throw’, and at the time we were doing this, Joe was desperate for a pint in the bar! I agreed, and was anyway on my last batch of throwaways when I found a piece titled ‘Clarinet Concerto’, by A.E.Williams. Written in pencil, with ancient sellotape, and signed by all the people who played it many years ago, including the Soloist and composer, I thought that that should not be binned, so I kept it! Joe Stafford suggested that I should ‘get it out there’ , so I have. Incidentally it has a cracking Cadenza towards the end, it was a bit smudged in the original score, but I’ve filled in the gaps!! This would be an ideal addition to the band repertoire for Clarinet!

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1074907 Composed by Joshua A. Idio. 20th Century,Classical,Contest,Festival,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 55 pages. Joshua A Idio #679162. Published by Joshua A Idio (A0.1074907). Composed by Joshua A. Idio. Chamber Music. String Quartet. This is a two-movement piece comprising of a prelude and an allegro. The entire piece is meant to convey a simple story of witnessing the change of different lifestyles, from the peaceful and simple rural life to the electrifying grandeur of urban city life. The prelude, signifying the rural atmosphere, begins with unsettling chords that feel seasonal and constantly moving. The different string melodies are as lovingly soothing as playing in the grassy fields and mountains. They are fun, pleasant, and whimsical, and they express the rather playful and tranquil setting of rural living. The beginning chords may feel unusually active, but it also adds to the color of this calming tranquility. Life couldn't be any better. In contrast to the fun and joyful theme of the prelude, the allegro embodies the absolute hustle and bustle of the big city. Explosive harmonies progress through the movement. Melodies from the prelude now intertwine with this new faster theme, playing more lively and vigorous. The mood has changed. Everything seems fast-paced and maybe overloading. But, maybe that's not a bad thing. A bit into the movement, as the hustle and bustle finally slow down, the essence of the prelude returns to calm the music. Homesickness mixed with overwhelming emotions is just as powerful of an expression as joy or anger. Filled with confidence and resolve, the music quickens back into its fast theme. The nature of intense focus, inspired by the urban surroundings, mixes with the joy and fun of the old ways. Everything now seems not just more familiar and comforting, but lively as well. As the music reaches its end, those unsettling chords from the prelude return to once again remind us that the rural lifestyle will always be a part of us. Maybe this city life won't be such a bad thing. We experience the best life when it comes with change. While I never lived in a rural community myself, I can empathize with the experience of people who have from their own stories and emotions. And when they move into the overwhelming cityscape, they sometimes either break down or build up. In the end, though, I can never really understand what it is like until I move into a rural community. But I know nothing will ever change how they grew up there, as the experiences always seem to follow them into the next chapter of their adventures. And it is because of that kind of beautiful resolve, did I nickname this Prelude and Allegro Urbanalia. When life meets change it opens up a whole new story.

Flute Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.930988 Composed by Various. Arranged by Mikayla Ann Odut. Christmas,Holiday,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Individual part. 3 pages. Mikayla Odut #3243741. Published by Mikayla Odut (A0.930988). If you're like me, you've searched nearly everywhere for Christmas flute music that isn't boring to play. I composed this for my Christmas recital in 2016 with the following question in mind about Christmas music: Why is piano music so complex while flute music has almost nothing to it? I came to the conclusion that the main difference is that you can play many chords within the piano music. With this difference in mind, I've written a flute medley of Christmas carols, containing both the melody and chords! Essentially, it gives you the oppurtunity to play a balanced, entertaining carol medly that is both challenging and pleasing to hear. This original arrangement includes Angels We Have Heard on High, Joy to the World, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear, The First Noel, and briefly ends with Jingle Bells. Please keep in mind the recording sample is only a computer playback. There are plenty of opportunities to add rubato and your own personalized expression, something the computerized flute doesn't do.*** The audio file does not yet recflect the most recent version.

Banjo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1101468 Composed by Robert Schumann. Arranged by Doctor JerBear. Children,Classical,Film/TV,Romantic Period. Score. 3 pages. Doctor JerBear #704844. Published by Doctor JerBear (A0.1101468). There aren't many classical pieces that are well-suited to a beginning arrangement for clawhammer banjo, but Schumann's The Happy Farmer is one of them. I wasn't deliberately aiming for a beginner's arrangement, but I noticed it was naturally in Open G, with no drop thumb, and nothing difficult to reach except perhaps the 4th string F#... If you are a beginning clawhammer player and want to add a classical piece to your playbook, especially if you like the Wizard of Oz, this is one to pick!

Bassoon - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1474103 Composed by James Smith. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Educational Method. 44 pages. Ensemble Llama Music #1051737. Published by Ensemble Llama Music (A0.1474103). I’m a bassoonist, and I don’t like the teaching materials for bassoon that are out there. There’s not enough depth and engagement in them, and nothing that supports the everyday music teacher. So I set out to create something that I would feel comfortable giving to my private students to help them grow as musicians. There are many types of music in the book: etudes, exercises, warm-ups, backwards and upside down duets (one person plays normally, the other person reads the music in an unusual way), improvised music, and composition. Musical styles range across a variety of cultures and genres such as classical, blues, fiddle tunes, marches, contemporary, musicals, and more.  Using carefully crafted etudes, exercises, and songs in a variety of styles, your bassoon students are going to to find immediate success. The bite-sized examples encourage students to focus on tone, as they extend their technique and range on this wonderful instrument. Examples from the book:1.1 - Memories1.2 - Can-Can1.3 - Baby-Back Blues1.4 - Somewhere Nice1.5 - Go Down, Moses1.6 - Magenta Sky (A Backwards Duet)1.7 - Cakewalk1.8 - Red River Valley1.9 - Symphony No. 6, Mvt. 2 (Tchaikovsky)1.10 - Arkansas Traveler1.11 - Give My Regards to Broadway (key of B Flat Major)1.12 - In The Hall of the Mountain King1.13 - Landlord Fill The Flowing Bowl1.14 - It Ain't Gonna Rain No Mo'1.15 - Shalom Chaverim1.16 - Londonderry Air1.17 - Theme & Variations, Für Elise1.18 - Ominous (A Backwards Duet)Create & Improvise: St. Louis Blues (W.C. Choral Choir,Choral (SSA) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1295545 By Sylvia Miles. By Sylvia Miles. Arranged by Sylvia Miles. Christmas,Medieval,Multicultural,World. 8 pages. Sylvia Miles #885841. Published by Sylvia Miles (A0.1295545). This is one of the oldest extant carols; it has been dated to the C13. There's nothing ancient about its style though, it's full of life, and positively skips along. It may have its origins in the book of Isaiah ch 1 v 3: the ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib. This arrangement is for SSA choir with piano accompaniment and optional violin. If you have a friendly violinist, the violin line adds a real sparkle!People who aren't used to singing in French won't find it too taxing (I hope!) as there's lots of repetition in the verses, and the refrain stays the same.Translation: v1.Between the ox and the grey donkey the little boy sleeps. Ref: A thousand heavenly angels, a thousand seraphim, fly around this great God of love.v2: In Mary's arms sleeps the fruit of life.v3: Between roses and lilies sleeps the divine child.v4: Surrounded by the cheerful shepherds the little boy sleeps.

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.730455 Composed by James Nathaniel Holland. Contemporary,Jazz. 217 pages. James Nathaniel Holland #3545937. Published by James Nathaniel Holland (A0.730455). Full Orchestral Score and Individual PartsA New Concerto for Flute and Orchestra The Hummingbird from contemporary American composer James Nathaniel Holland in three movements. A fun and light-hearted piece. Why the hummingbird? Those cute, little, delicate creatures that just want to go about their business admiring the flowers. After living in Costa Rica for some time it couldn’t be farther from the truth, they are aggressive birds that pick a fight with anything that comes into their territory. But let’s talk about this concerto. It first began with the composer’s desire to write a concerto for flute. Influenced by the 3/8 rhythm of the piano sonatas of Alessandro Scarlatti. Hence, the first movement was born with its sort of here, there, and here again quality which reminded me of the many hummingbirds that I’ve seen in Costa Rica. The first movement also contains a quality of jazz to it and is a nice addition to the flute concerto repertoire. The second movement is slow and straight forward. It is relax time that only a flute can evoke. The third is a sort of Mozart styled third Rondo movement. But as you will listen there are some elements that have nothing to do with Mozart. The harmonies are modern as well as some of the rhythmic aspects.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587471 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. 23 pages. David McKeown #3243685. Published by David McKeown (A0.587471). Next to nothing is known about the origins of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D. The earliest manuscript dates from the nineteenth century and the piece only emerged from obscurity through radio play in the 1970s. Now one of the best-loved and ubiquitous classical pieces, the Canon’s repeating chord sequence has inspired countless pop tunes from the Streets of London, to I Should be so Lucky and Don’t Look Back in Anger. This version is arranged and transposed to a suitable key as a Trio for three Flutes. An optional part 4 is included which can be played on any bass instrument to add texture and harmonic context. The original note values have been doubled to make the rhythms easier to read. The linked youtube performance is the Clarinet version of this arrangement. Musicians at an advanced intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, and being a Canon, all but the bass part play the melody. Duet versions of this piece can also be found by browsing from the link below. The overall performance time is around four and a half minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with stamina, concentration and rhythmic consistency.
