Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.943132 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Tim Rushworth. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Wedding. Guitar Tab. 4 pages. Tim Rushworth #6709957. Published by Tim Rushworth (A0.943132). This Prelude, from ‘cello suite No 1 (BWV 1007) is as Bach wrote it. No changes have been made to adapt it for guitar in this version. In order to perform it, you will need to re-tune your guitar though. Drop the bass down two tones to a low C. Then tune from the 7th fret to the next string which is dropped by one tone to G. D remains the same, but string 3 has to go up a tone to A. Don’t worry, this won’t damage your guitar. Higher tension strings work slightly better (I use D’Addario EJ46) and I think a cedar front also sounds better, to give a more ‘cello-like sound.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108150 By Jon Thingvall. By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Jon Thingvall. 19th Century,Christmas,Classical,March. Score. 16 pages. Jon Thingvall #710774. Published by Jon Thingvall (A0.1108150). Looking for a version of this classic that has those thrilling string runs toward the end, and the woodwind countermelodies? This may be it! Don't be intimidated by the fact that this arrangement is played at holiday receptions in the White House, or that it received the approval of acclaimed pianist, John Bayless. I wrote it for myself, and I'm not more than an Intermediate-level pianist. I arranged it out of frustration at not being able to find a version that had those thrilling, ascending string runs toward the end. It may sound difficult, but that simply shows how Maestro Tchaikovsky was able to create an interwoven, arabesque-like frieze out of just a few notes. If you can play the Schirmer edition Suite, or even just some of it, you'll have no trouble with this one. Maestro Mikhail Pletnev's arrangement has the string runs in it, but the way he wrote them is so virtuosic that, brilliant as it is, there is no way I could play it. So, I had to write one out for myself. I'm pretty pleased with it, and think you will be too. The PDF is in two sections; one with written suggestions that may be helpful, and the other without them.

Cello,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1438245 Composed by Giuseppe Verdi. Arranged by Kovats Istvan. Classical,Opera. 2 pages. Kovats Istvan #1018283. Published by Kovats Istvan (A0.1438245). Hi cellists,I made this score for myself, when I was practicing this solo part. It's has the cello solo (which is in fact accompaniment) and Rigoletto's line. I think the biggest challenge of this piece is to follow the singer, for me it was much easier with this score, I hope it will be useful for you, too.I wrote the fingerings and bowings exactly how I played.TIPS: If you don't like the bowings you can try the original bowing of the group of sixteens: down-down (legato) - up-up (staccato) - down (stacc) - up (stacc) in the bar 13, in the the second group of sixteens the octaves could be slured two by two. It could be VERY HELPFUL to listen to the aria, without playing, just with this score in your hand. Good luck!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.529570 Composed by Robert J. Sherman. Arranged by Original Piano/Vocal Arrangement by Robert J. Sherman. Broadway,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Musical/Show. Score. 6 pages. Sherman Theatrical Entertainment Ltd. #117896. Published by Sherman Theatrical Entertainment Ltd. (A0.529570). The Sharpest Smile is from the musical Love Birds. This song pays homage to “Honey Bun” from the classic 1949 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical: South Pacific. Like its forerunner, “The Sharpest Smile” represents a “show within a show” moment. Both “Honey Bun” and “The Sharpest Smile” derive their comedy from the age-old, vaudevillian gimmick of a girl pretending to be a boy and vice versa. In the context of the Love Birds script, “Vera” (a female parrot) is costumed as a 1920s (male) gangster talking to “his” gangster friends. “The Gangster” character explains that “he” has met a wonderful girl (named “Pearl”), so don’t expect to see “him” around as much; or lyrics to that effect. Later in the number, we learn that “Pearl” is in fact a hungry crocodile dressed in a lady’s bikini costume (i.e. two coconuts strung together for the top – also an homage to “Honey Bun”). Pearl constantly tries to take a bite out of the Gangster Parrot who is blissfully unaware of the threat. This is a comedy song about mismatched relationships, but it also serves as meta-commentary on the dangers that pursuing such relationships can pose. In other words, “Pearl” is “Peril” (at least according to the thinking of the time). Despite the implicit risk, this unconventional love story seems to work out in the end. When printing, please scale to fit for standard US Letter and A4 size.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1306230 Composed by Jill Jackson and Sy Miller. Arranged by Dean Gilbert. Christmas,Religious. Score. 5 pages. Dean Gilbert #895622. Published by Dean Gilbert (A0.1306230). You don't really hear this song until Christmas; however, with the latest troubles in the Middle East this song is the perfect song to learn and play at any time during the year.  I arranged it thinking about the continued conflict in Ukraine, the new conflict in the Middle East and the continuing gun violence in our own country. The song builds to the 3rd section where you can hear the anger come out because we cannot just get along. This section comes to a quick end and gives into a very calm end. This ending represent a reflection of what could be if we all did our part. Enjoy!!!!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1031802 Composed by Dimitri Roussopoulos. Contemporary. Score. 10 pages. Dr.Creative #3569773. Published by Dr.Creative (A0.1031802). First of all, let me thank you for taking the time to look at this little song I wrote. Although it is not a very big composition, it is definitely one of my favorites. It was originally written for tenor and piano, but please feel free to adapt it for any voice. You can hear it here: https://youtu.be/OYsXigQ1R7w It can be sung by male or female voices because the sentiment it expresses is one that I think we can all identify with: being in love or totally captivated with someone or something which seems so much higher, brighter, purer, and more lovely than ourselves and hoping, against all odds, they might notice us and feel something other than pity or revulsion. This song springs from that secret and tender spot in our human hearts which so often, like a millipede, curls up in a ball to protect itself when poked at and prodded by others. If you sing this song, don’t worry about singing it well. Try sing it honestly, instead. And, no matter how dark it may seem, I hope your heart will find some comfort in the company of this little millipede and the bright moon which shines above us. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time on dimitri.roussopoulos@gmail.com should you have any questions.Duration: about 4min 21sec

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931836 Composed by Nathan Petitpas - Dots and Beams. Instructional. Octavo. 137 pages. Dots and Beams #4776187. Published by Dots and Beams (A0.931836). This collection presents its user with a series of increasingly difficult rhythms on a single pitch. The rhythmic material in this series is organized into 10 difficulty levels. Each difficulty level contains four exercises in each of the following time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8. This gives exercises in 2, 3, and 4 beats per bar in both simple and compound meters. The first two exercises of each time signature have no ties while the remaining two exercises in each time signature include ties. In Book 1 of this series you’ll find difficulty levels 1 to 5, while Book 2 completes the set with levels 6 to 10. The exercises in this collection are intentionally random and difficult to internalize. They don’t follow any predictable or standard groove pattern, but instead are random successions of eighth- and sixteenth-note groupings within the prescribed difficulty level. In keeping the rhythmic material as unpredictable as possible the door is left open for the materials to be used in conjunction with any number of exercises, while forcing the user to process every rhythm as its own event without relying on pattern recognition to help in identifying the rhythms. To curate the difficulty of rhythm in as objective a way as possible I looked at all of the possible eighth-note and sixteenth-note groupings within the basic unit of one beat. Each difficulty level builds on the exercises of the previous by adding groupings that are slightly more conceptually challenging. Difficulty Level 9 contains all possible groupings, while Level 10 focuses on the more challenging groupings by omitting easy ones. Some suggestions for how to use this book include: Practice sight-reading. When doing so it is encouraged to cycle through the exercises quickly rather than dwelling on a particular exercise for a long period of time. The goal in practising sight-reading is not to learn the material but to develop the skill of reading new material. Use a metronome! The most important thing you can do with this material is learn how to read these rhythms and play them in time. Advanced metronome work: Place the metronome click on weak beats. With the metronome clicking only on the beat you run the risk of relying on the metronome to give you the time. Placing the metronome click on non-strong beats forces you to take responsibility for the time. For example, instead of putting the metronome click on each quarter-note in 4/4, play the exercise with the metronome giving the second eighth note of each beat, or the last sixteenth note, or beats 2 and 4, or only the downbeat of each bar. Be creative with this one! The possibilities are limitless. Develop independence between hands by playing a repeating pattern in one hand while reading an exercise in the other. Expand on this by adding patterns in hands and feet while reading a rhythm with a remaining limb. This is a great exercise for drummers and percussionists but any instrumentalist could benefit from coordination practice. Use these rhythms to practice scales. Instead of playing scales in straight sixteenth-notes, try playing them in the rhythms given in these exercises. Write in sticking patterns, dynamics, accents, phrase marks, or other articulations for you or your students to practice. If you’re not happy with the ties I included, feel free to add some of your own. Combine the above exercises in any way that you think will be beneficial to your practice. As with any of the Dots and Beams books, the uses for this particular collection are limited only by the imagination of the musician using it. I encourage anybody using this book to find as many uses for these exerci.

String Quartet String Quartet - Digital Download SKU: A0.977014 By The Eurythmics. By Annie Lennox and David Stewart. Arranged by Keith Moss (b.1982). Pop. Score and parts. 20 pages. Keith Moss #3883041. Published by Keith Moss (A0.977014). I've attempted to create a really dramatic version of this iconic song.  Taking elements from the original it's arranged here to include alternative harmonies.  The end is really great and a challenge for the second violinist.  Think Beethoven Harp Quartet! After playing for many years in string quartet groups, I have found that many arrangements lack any kind of inventiveness and are often not rewritten with string players in mind.  In this arrangement you'll find challenging sections and rhythmic interest that I hope translates into a well arranged piece of music. Please don't hesitate to contact me on my webpage:  www.keithmoss.org for any arranging requestsHave fun!

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.971672 Composed by James DeCaro. 20th Century,Standards. Score and parts. 38 pages. The Beat Sellery #2034343. Published by The Beat Sellery (A0.971672). This piece was originally written for an ensemble of 18 students to give them something that would engage and/or challenge each player. I wanted to expose them to shifting meters and relied on a minimalist idea for building the groove that drives the piece. It is important to maintain a feeling of motion throughout. The percussion section will be kept busy moving between instruments, and they are featured in the middle-it should sound like magic sparkles. I added traditional instrumentation to this, and there is some writing more difficult than grade 3 (particularly in the oboe part since originally there was no flute). Still, I think it is a fun piece for the right group. The meter is mostly 5/8 with the occasional 6/8 or 4/8 thrown in. The recording available here is a real band with some real mistakes that hopefully don't get in the way too much. The download includes the full score and set of parts. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.821259 Composed by Judith L. Maggs. 20th Century,Instructional. Score. 25 pages. Maggs #5888039. Published by Maggs (A0.821259). The collection is a continuation of a concept I came up with several years ago in an attempt to get my piano students to think rather than just play mindlessly. The pieces are all at an intermediate level - mostly quite easy technically. The challenge is in doing some unexpected things. Some are just for fun, but others cover some very useful skills that they don’t normally get to attempt at an intermediate level. In this collection, I have 8 pieces. Two’s Company uses only 2 fingers on each hand. Bar None has a regular beat, but no time signature or bar lines. What’s My Ledger Line uses only one staff, but depends on ledger lines to cover the missing staff. Fancy Footwork uses all 3 pedals.Times Two alternates 3/4 and 6/8 measures. I ‘C’ You is written in alto clef. Multi-Tasking adds rhythms (tapping, clapping, etc.). And It’s All Over takes an easy tune and jumps all over the keyboard with it.

Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 32 pages. MRK Studio #1085584. Published by MRK Studio (A0.1510395). Because He Lives is a classic song (hymn) penned by one of the most lauded couples in Christian music, Bill and Gloria Gaither. This song explores how the resurrection of Christ transforms the lives of believers.   At this song's 50th anniversary, in honor of this legacy milestone, Gaither Music Group has initiated a yearlong celebration highlighting numerous performances of the song across many different platforms and genres. First released on October 18, 1971, this song was, and is, one of the most popular songs written by the Gospel Music Hall of Fame members.  “People have asked me, ‘Did you know right away that it was going to be a song that was going to be translated in other languages?’” stated Bill. “When you create a new song—and you write as many as we have–you really don’t know. Many times you write one and you think it is going to be the next ‘Amazing Grace,’ and it just dies a natural death. When we wrote ‘Because He Lives’ I felt like it was a good song, but you only find out how good a song is when people start responding to it, and the more we sang it the more people responded. I’m humbled it has been translated into so many languages and did not foresee that.”, he added.Read more here This song was commissioned by a South African Baritone Soloist, Johann Nefdt, to be performed by a Baritone Soloists, 2 Violins, Piano and Pipe Organ. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1417986 Composed by Louis Spohr. Arranged by Amanda Tero. Christian,Religious,Sacred. Score. 9 pages. Amanda Tero #999537. Published by Amanda Tero (A0.1417986). Experience a new take on the classic All Things Bright and Beautiful with this intermediate piano solo sheet music. Great for church performances or recitals, this piece includes vibrant chords and a touch of Impressionistic flair. The intermediate piano solo of All Things Bright and Beautiful starts with a gentle and reflective first verse, transitions into a fuller second verse, and then moves to a rich third verse that echoes the style of Impressionist music.I arranged All Things Bright and Beautiful intermediate piano solo in a modern style with a lot of seventh chords and hints of dissonance to add depth instead of being simplistic. It progresses from a rhythmically simple first verse into a more developed second verse then builds with a modulation and sixteenth notes for the third verse before returning to a serene setting similar to the introduction. For church services, recitals, and spring/summer music events, All Things Bright and Beautiful intermediate piano solo will capture the listeners and give them a new experience with a beloved favorite.Similar in level to most Level 3-4 piano curricula and ABRSM Level 4.The basic format of All Things Bright and Beautiful intermediate piano solo is: introduction, verse, interlude, verse, modulation, verse ending.5 pages. Keys of F major and G major.Approx. 3:45 performance time. Musical Elements In All Things Bright and Beautiful intermediate piano solo Sheet Music Keys of F major, G major Time signature: 6/8 Tempo: slow, reflective Tempo change midway Note values: dotted half notes, dotted quarter notes, dotted eighth notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes Note reading: right hand treble clef F3 to D6, left hand bass clef D2 to F5, treble clef B3 to B4 Ledger lines (up to 3 lines) Left hand in treble clef (4 measures) Fermatas Ties Practice Tips for All Things Bright and Beautiful intermediate piano solo Sheet Music Remember that 6/8 has 2 beats (6 pulses). This will help the music from sounding plodding and flow smoother. This arrangement calls for a lot of expression and fluctuation in tempo and dynamics. Add a lot of feeling as you play. The tempo change at m46 needs to be prepared in mm 44-45. While there is a crescendo, I like to think of it more as adding depth and broadness than volume alone in preparation for the left hand jumping to sixteenth notes. While I like the sixteenth notes to sound rushing, don’t “rush” them. Play them at a tempo that is comfortable under your fingers.
