Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.584444 Composed by Bruce Woolley, Simon Darlow, Steve Lipson, and Trevor Horn. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary. 21 pages. Jeff Tincher #5754953. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.584444). This is the song that turned me onto Grace Jones music. I borrowed the Slave To The Rhythm LP from the library, put it on the turntable, and thought this is different. This track was the last track on the A-side. As I further listened to the LP I realized that the album used the same song in different genres, format, and keys. You wouldn't know it unless you really listened to the LP. This arrangement, however, is in the original key from her Island Life LP. This song has funk all over it. Grace is a strange character but has a great voice. What made me pick this song is I was searching through youtube to find a song to arrange and I found Grace doing this song live. Again, Grace surprised me. You think female stars today has energy. She sang the song while hula hooping. She was 64 when she did this. She still does this on her concerts. Here is the link to amaze you...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSa5EvWqB7g. Published by Gary Friedman (A0.889870). This is the last of the series of nine wind octets that I wrote in 2008-2010. As of this writing (December, 2014) I don’t know if I will write more of these. Gentle melodic beginning, lively middle, with a return of the beginning melody finished as a round. One of my best, I think. This sound clip was played by Janet Popesco Archibald and Robin May, oboes, Jose Gonzalez Granero and Joanne Eisler, clarinets, Larry Ragent and Alicia Telford, horns, Dan MacNeill and Shawn Jones, bassoons. Published by Brady Kuhl (A0.1110858). The song simmering into fall is a song that supposed to portray fall as a season, but it just turned into a beautiful pile of trash, as the Intro is the introduction, movement A is supposed to portray the cooling down in the tempeture and changing the color of trees, movement B is supposed to represent false fall but after a while, the music seems to fall out of control. I don't know if this song trash or Tresure, please find out and enjoy, and tell me how yawl think. If yawl can manage to play thst song in real life and make it sound good, it would make yawl the best musicians.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.893864 Composed by David Kai. Celtic,Folk,Pop. Score. 5 pages. David Kai #6100233. Published by David Kai (A0.893864). A song celebrating the people of Gander, Newfoundland & Labrador in Canada who helped close to 7,000 stranded airline passengers after September 11, 2001. The story of Gander and the surrounding towns has been immortalized in the Broadway show, Come From Away. The song is written in a Celtic/Newfoundland style. This song is dedicated to my spouse Marly's parents, Isaac and Sybil who were a part of the crew who helped the plane people in Gander through their involvement in the Anglican church. WHEN THE WORLD DROPS IN TO TOWN     Words and music by David Kai ©2020 On the 11th of September, in a quiet little town In a place that they call Newfoundland, all the planes were coming down Just how many were arriving, it was hard to know or tell In a quiet town in Newfoundland on the day the towers fell.  With ten thousand waiting on the ground, seven thousand on their way The schools and halls and churches were preparing for their stay And not only in Gander, but in places all around ‘Cause you’ve got to pull together when the world drops into town. Chorus: So raise a glass to them, let’s sing a song to cheer For all the workers, cooks and clerks, for all the volunteers Who showed such kindness, who stepped up when chips were down ‘Cause you’ve got to pull together when the world drops into town  All the stores they opened up their doors, the supplies, how fast they flew! Take it all to help the plane people, it’s the least that we can do! Aunt Winnie baked two dozen of her partridgeberry pies She said, I think those plane people will be in for some surprise! So the people were all settled, and much to their delight There were home-cooked meals and showers in homes, even trips to see the sights Though they came from countries ‘round the world, they did seem to all fit in And in kitchen parties here and there, new found friends were being screeched in.  Chorus: Soon the skies, they were reopened, just a week and they were gone Though the planes took off into the skies all the memories lingered on For what they all remember, and what’s talked of to this day Is how townsfolk cared for people who had come from far away.  So let’s sing and let’s be thankful, for each and every one Who showed us how to live together in the year two-thousand one, Let’s celebrate their kindness, for we never will forget, That in Newfoundland a stranger’s just a friend you haven’t met.  Chorus:
When the World Drops In to Town

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.862658 Composed by A. Rubenstein, T. Leschitizsky. Arranged by Michael Bomier. Concert,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 7 pages. Michael Butkus-Bomier #3603237. Published by Michael Butkus-Bomier (A0.862658). Melody in F has been around as a so-called light classical piece since its famed composer made his US tour at the end of the 19th century. In its original form the tune was passed from hand to hand; unnecessarily, in our view. This setting has the tune ALL in the RH, where the in-between chords are as well. Anton, with his massive Russian hand, had no trouble using 10ths freely as accompaniment, whilst finding a thumb for the tune, once in awhile. We think Normal Humans might not like that quite so much. The LH can be arpeggiated freely by anyone without a comfortable 10th, which is to say, me and most of the rest of us, eh! The Leschtizsky Consolation,  also in F, uses the same kind of RH thumb-tune, with chords above interspersed on the off-beats, just as his students' piece uses. Yes, he taught Rubenstein. These pieces both are predecessors of Rachmaninoff's harmonically-based compositions, where the tune and the harmony are a single unified entity. This music has a place for students and aspiring artists who want to know how the modern Russian School was formed. Melody notes are clearly double-stemmed, and harmony is spelled clearly so the harmonic progression is easily defined. MP3 file has Melody, then Consolation. MBB .

Brass Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.999423 Composed by Carlo Gesualso. Arranged by Eric Wilson. Concert,Renaissance. Score and parts. 14 pages. Woodrow Edition #5798361. Published by Woodrow Edition (A0.999423). Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa, Musician and Murderer! That’s not a news headline (though it would be quite a good one) but the title of a book by composer Peter Warlock which I read avidly after first encountering the Italian composer in a lecture at the University of Liverpool in the 1980s. We were studying the Italian madrigal, which was not really my thing until our lecturer threw Moro Lasso into the mix. Its opening chords seemed so incongruous – unlike anything we had heard – and are as striking today as they must have been in 1611 when first published in Gesualdo’s 6th Book of Madrigals.More or less immediately after that lecture I arranged the piece for the Seras Brass Quintet which I had helped form. In those days the brass quintet repertoire was limited, and certainly didn’t include anything by Gesualdo! The arrangement really benefits from a church-like acoustic where you can make the most of the dramatic built-in silences. The tuba part lies quite high and is very playable on a trombone if need be. Even to modern ears there are some strange sounds and I trust that all the ‘wrong’ notes are Gesualdo’s rather than mine – do let me know if you think otherwise!
