Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Handbell,Handchime,Voice,Xylophone - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565251 By Sharon Wilson. By Various. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. 20th Century,Children,Folk,Instructional,Traditional. Score and parts. 176 pages. Sharon Wilson #3626293. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565251). This sheet music collection of 20 folk songs is notated for 13-note (one octave, C to C chromatic scale) instruments with Handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords. For each song, there is a combined score with both parts on a grand staff plus a separate 1-staff score for each individual part. A note and chord reference chart is also provided for each song. The songs in this digital book are ordered by difficulty with the easiest songs presented first. The songs progressively incorporate more challenging rhythms, some requiring rapid chord changes. Many of the songs include two verses. The first verse is “easy†with fewer notes. The second verse is “intermediate†and expands the melody by adding more notes (sometimes including harmony notes). If you want to learn (practice) only the “easy†verse, an optional ending is provided or it can be skipped to perform the two verses together. This set of scores uses black and white noteheads and is best suited for musicians already familiar with reading standard music notation. For beginning musicians, this same set of scores is available (sold separately) with color coded noteheads. Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of this song. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. Instrument assignment suggestions are provided for each song. Each of the 20 arrangements in this collection is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1033577 Composed by Lynne Cox. Children,Contest,Festival,Instructional. Score. 4 pages. Lynne Coc Publications #638885. Published by Lynne Coc Publications (A0.1033577). 'ORANGE'! Oh, my! SWINGING!!! 'This one is for late elementary or medium difficulty. One of the most fun-to play solos I've ever created. Inspired by my granddaughters' love of the knock-knock jokes based on the phrases; 'Knock-knock, who's there? Orange-orange who? orange you glad you're...' This is a rollicking piece with a swinging intro (repeated as bridge going into second A section) but segueing into a B section at a slower tempo and comprised completely of major sevenths! (all in broken chords and/or rolled chords with help for small hands by the use of damper pedal). Structure of a major 7th chord being: maj 3rd, m3rd, maj 3rd requires many accidentals in the B section. The mood surprises with a dramatic shift into this dreamy sequence created by these major sevenths which LH breaks up and RH answers with rolled same chord. Intro is sassy and attention-grabbing. With hands in unison, this familiar rhythmic pattern beginning with a very quick note (16th) with emphasis on the second note, introduces the first A section consisting of melody of broken chords with fun, fun lyrics that are tossed around between the hands in an antiphonal question/answer style. Interspersed are 5-finger position descending motifs as well as accompanying chords (or pieces of chords) placed on predictable beats for continuity and ease of learning. Chord progressions are unexpected and surprising, as are the 5-finger position motifs. Coda creates excitement by building D major full chord with hands in unison with much crescendo. Great for analyzing chords and 5-finger position melodies. Did you know the word 'orange' has no English rhyming word? I took that as a challenge and had FUN with the lyrics! Form: intro A interlude/bridge A coda Key of G harmonic minor w/lots of exploration into other majors and minors. Time signature 4/4. When singing the lyrics, I envision the first phrase being sung in a normal voice, the 2nd in an operatic voice, 3rd in a voice much like the 'Cookie Monster', and the 4th in a very childish voice. Tempo indication moderato, quarter note at 108 Lots of dynamic contrast. I also perform just the instrumental version of this piece on you tube entitled, 'Orange Instrumental' and the you tube link is: https://youtu.be/A1moEpClsYI.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1438013 By Louis Armstrong. By Bob Thiele and George David Weiss. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #1018085. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1438013). When it comes to timeless classics, few songs can compare to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong’s Orchestra and Chorus. Released in 1967, this beautiful melody has transcended decades, touching the hearts of millions across the globe. After it was heard in the film Good Morning, Vietnam, it was reissued as a single in 1988, and rose to number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.   Armstrong's recording was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.In a world often plagued by strife and uncertainty, the song serves as a gentle reminder to focus on the positive aspects of life. It urges us to look beyond our differences and embrace the beauty that surrounds us. It celebrates the wonders of nature, the innocence of children, and the power of love, instilling a renewed sense of appreciation for the world we live in.I see trees of green, red roses tooI see them bloom for me and youAnd I think to myself what a wonderful worldI see skies of blue and clouds of whiteThe bright blessed day, the dark sacred nightAnd I think to myself what a wonderful worldThe colors of the rainbow so pretty in the skyAre also on the faces of people going byI see friends shaking hands saying how do you doThey're really saying I love youI hear babies crying, I watch them growThey'll learn much more than I'll never knowAnd I think to myself what a wonderful worldYes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1264703 Composed by Ric Price. 20th Century,Classical,Instructional. Score. 5 pages. Richard J Price #857533. Published by Richard J Price (A0.1264703). Music NotesThis is a piece I wrote to shape some concepts for my first/second year pianostudent daughter. I had the idea while listening to her practice by brute force –meaning the keys are repeated hit continuously at same tempo, same strength – almost as a pounding exercise.  I thought nuance was not getting into her playing yet (as with most beginning students).   I wanted her to be aware of the musicality innate in a piece of music. Therefore, I loaded this piece up with all kinds of tempo changes, dynamics, etc. A little overkill, but printed music does suggest these things although it might not be written in.Concepts I was going for: Form: In this case a Rondo. Using classic ABACA. Key Relationships: C Major / A Minor. Sections B and C are in A minor, although written in key of C with the addition of sharps (leading tone G ♯). Hand Independence: Scales in one hand punctuated in the other. Scales: Scales found in both hands and the value of scales fingering in a real piece. Phrasing: How different notes are placed together to make a complete thought. Dynamics: Lots of changes written in there and how it relates to phrasing helping make the ‘complete thought.’ Articulation: Staccato vs Legato, voices opposing each other; again helping with the ‘complete thought.’ Tempo: That such a thing as flexible tempo helps with phrasing and completing that ‘complete thought’ we talked about. Pounding beat vs a larger beat: as interpretation such as dance (emphasizing the first beat instead of pounding by each beat. Notice by the tempo markings that a larger beat is called for by the markings (one beat per measure embracing the dance aspect.) Her former teacher is very talented, holds his Doctor's degree in Piano Performance and was absolutely terrific with her. That being said, Kara soon found out there were boys, and from that moment on the instructor never had a chance. She’s 38 now, loves to play this piece and still -- pounds it out. ☺.

The music is by Jonathan David Whitcomb, with some of the words from an English translation of an ancient text: mostly in *Third Nephi, what is now designated Chapter 11. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.913216 Composed by St. Francis of Assisi, Geistliche K. Cologne. Arranged by William R Parker III. Christian,Sacred. Score. 1 pages. William Parker #5990637. Published by William Parker (A0.913216). This is my entry for the sacred music competition. This well loved hymn is a fun to listen to and to play. In my arrangement I added an echoing effect between the hands, giving it more of choral type feel. As the song continues I added a layering of notes to add a bit more intensity and volume to the piece. It concludes with an echo of the melody and unison between the two hands. There is a type of flow to the this piece. It is one of this idea of motion, then pausing. This makes keeping the rhythm accurate tricky, but interesting. .
