Piano - Moderately Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.15-857-05E Composed by Thomas Keesecker. 9/11 Service, Funeral. 5 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #15-857-05E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.15-857-05E). The final volume in our popular series of reflective piano music books, The Quiet Heart was written at a time when the composer was experiencing health issues, and the resulting focus is on healing and comfort. However, don't expect all the material to be subdued—there are several titles written as dances, inspired by Psalm 30: You have turned my mourning into dancing. As in the previous volumes of hymn-based piano settings, the rather uncomplicated writing belies the musical impact.

Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1152788 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 44 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #753026. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1152788). This is the ninth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 9 (Songs 217-243)Crystal Spring (The)Cuckoo (the)Cumha MhicCupid’s GardenCutting Down the PinesDabbling in the DewDance to your DaddyDarby KellyDashing Away With the Smoothing IronDashing White Sergeant (the) continue hereDavy LowstonDean CadalanDeath and the LadyDeath of Admiral Benbow (the)Death of Queen Jane (the)Derby Ram (the)DerwentwaterDerwentwater’s FarewellDeserter (the) version ADeserter (the) version BDevil and the Farmer’s Wife (the)Dewy Dells of Yarrow (the)DiademDialogue between Jacob and Esau (A)Dicky of Tauton DeneDidn’t My Lord Deliver DanielDigger’s Song (the).

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.957733 Composed by Stephen Lines. Contemporary. Score and parts. 99 pages. Stephen Lines #26285. Published by Stephen Lines (A0.957733). Bramshill was written to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the police staff college and was premiered by the British Police Symphony Orchestra in 2008. In 2011 it undertook some quite serious revision. Bramshill House was until recently the home of the Police Staff College. In 1953 the Home Office purchased Bramshill from Lord Brocket. There is evidence that the site has been inhabited since the time of Domesday and the Norman Conquest. The present building was constructed principally by Edward Zouche, 11th Baron Zouche of Harringworth, between c. 1605-1625. The music is written in large ternary form as a concert rondo. There are features within which depict and draw together various facets of the early history of Bramshill House as a Jacobean structure with that of its current role as the police staff college. After a declamatory eighteen bar opening in the key of C minor the piece leads towards the principal theme - it is introduced by the horn, quietly accompanied by chords from the clarinets dipping in and out of the chalumeau register - a haunting, ethereal theme that depicts the mystery of the ancient building and its numerous reported wraiths. The theme develops and is pronounced giacoso in the strings with light accompaniment in the higher woodwinds. A restatement of the main theme is followed by a section, fugato; this depicts a police officer on the beat in the early hours of a cold, wet, winter’s night. This theme transmutes into a quasi-stately dance such as may have been performed in Bramshill’s great withdrawing room or the long gallery in the 1600’s. A series of 6/3 chords then develop into what sounds akin to a police siren; the section culminates in a wash of sound with police theme, stately dance and siren sounding simultaneously. In the final section, the principal theme is reiterated in various guises and sub-themes are further explored.

Instrumental Duet,Piano Flute,Instrumental Duet,Organ,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.850765 Composed by Elder Joseph Brackett. Arranged by Spike Maiden Müller. Easter,Sacred,Wedding. Score and parts. 14 pages. Spike Maiden Mueller #6423843. Published by Spike Maiden Mueller (A0.850765). Simple Gifts is believed to have been written around 1848 by Elder Joseph Brackett from Alfred Shaker Village in Maine. The tune was largely unknown outside Shaker communities until Aaron Copland used it in his 1944 ballet Appalachian Spring. Since then it has inspired and/or informed such classics as Sydney Carter's Lord of the Dance and John Zdechlik's Chorale and Shaker Dance. This version was written as the processional for the wedding of Thomas Hall and Nancy Pierce. The flute and piano parts require some technical skill, while the organ part is simple and straightforward. If used for a wedding, be sure to emphasize the Here Comes the Bride motif in the last two bars of the organ pedal part! ©1994, 1998, 2019 P. R. Spike Maiden Müller. All rights reserved. Chamber Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.944032 Composed by Ofer Ben-Amots. Contemporary,Jewish,World. Score and parts. 118 pages. The Composer's Own Press #4610029. Published by The Composer's Own Press (A0.944032). CONCERTINO, for Clarinet, Mandolin, and Orchestra CONCERTINO was officially commissioned in 2011 by the Geneva Chamber Orchestra. The composition explores the sound combination of two, seemingly opposing, instruments and sound characters: the clarinet and the mandolin. Thus, the three-movement work is a short double-concerto for clarinet and mandolin, accompanied by a chamber orchestra. The first movement, titled Psalm 148 and is a mixture of a coronation fanfare and a wild improvisatory-like dance. The music is based on the structure and ideas expressed in the 148th Psalm. For the transformation of this Psalmodic text into music I was concerned with two elements: first, the linguistic pulse of the ancient Biblical Hebrew gives the music its ever-changing meters and vibrant rhythms. The second element was the poetic concept presented in the text: Heaven vs. Earth, Universe vs. Planet, or Heights vs. Depths. The contrasting nature of these elements is described in the following verses: Hallelujah, Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights. (Psalm 148, verse 1) Praise the LORD from the earth, ye sea-monsters, and all deeps. (Psalm 148, verse 7) Finally, both Heaven and Earth join in praise together: Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. (Psalm 148, verse 13) The musical expression of these contraries is reflected and the use of high-range and soprano instruments (flutes, clarinet, trumpets, violins) versus low-range instruments (trombone, bassoons, cellos and basses.) The second movement, Romacero Viejo (and old love song) is a slow, lyrical dirge-like melody in a Sephardic Judeo-spanish style. In this movement the mandolin plays in the manner of an Oud – a traditional pear-shaped Arabic lute. The harmony sits mostly on a single pedal note while the clarinet imitates the chant with rhythmically free ornatmental patterns. The third and final movement, Allegro con brio, is a festive klezmer dance with a traditional Bulgar (or Freylech) rhythm, where the regular 8/8 meter is constantly divided into the irregular count of: 3+3+2. In the middle of this movement the two soloists play a cadenza, which allows them to present their contrasting yet complementary instrumental characters. The movement is titled The Geneva Bulgar in honor of the City of Geneva and the wonderful memories I have been carrying with me ever since my time there as a young student at the Conservatoire de Musique. Total duration: ca. 23 min.Performance material by rental only! For demo recording, questions, or any additional information please e-mail Ofer Ben-Amots at: thecomposerspress@gmail.com
