The movement ends as it began, with a calm, soulful chorale.In the Waters Shimmering looks directly into the shimmering reflection of the sunlight in water. A beautiful lyrical theme is passed around the quartet surrounded by various chorales and duets. One last lovely chorale moment brings the movement to its conclusion.To the Land Beyond, a depiction of the earth element, is full of sparking flourishes and rhythmic interest.
