Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.731859

Composed by Irish traditional/ Lyrics by Thomas Moore. Arranged by Thomas Quigley. Celtic,Concert,Folk,Holiday. Octavo. 8 pages. Thomas Quigley #3400195. Published by Thomas Quigley (A0.731859).

This is a truly beautiful version of this famous Irish melody. An unaccompanied solo soprano, followed by a sparse piano and then all voices in harmony, creates a very effective opening. The part-writing throughout is carefully tailored to the needs of the singers, with distribution of the melody to all the voices. Harmonically, it is always tasteful and it is a very enjoyable song to perform, either at a concert or choral festival. This skillful arrangement is also suitable for school choirs.

Flute quartet - Digital Download

SKU: IZ.IMF188

Composed by Daniel Baldwin. Score and Parts. 16 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #IMF188. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.IMF188).

9 x 12 in inches.

Centuries ago, the elements (earth, water, wind, fire) were proposed to explain the nature and complexity of all matter. It was believe that all of existence sprang from these elements. This quartet in four movements is a music depiction of this philosophical idea long since rejected by modern science.

Of Wind and Wings begins with rapid-fire rhythmic chord progressions that lead into a kaleidoscope of colors. Each part is featured at some point. Of Wind and Wings portrays the beauty of what it must be like to soar across the skies and feel the wind beneath your wings.

Within the Flame is a soulful representation of the fire element. After an opening chorale depicting a look into a small, calm flame, the movement takes off with the flames reaching ever higher and higher. The movement ends as it began, with a calm, soulful chorale.

In the Waters Shimmering looks directly into the shimmering reflection of the sunlight in water. A beautiful lyrical theme is passed around the quartet surrounded by various chorales and duets. One last lovely chorale moment brings the movement to its conclusion.

To the Land Beyond, a depiction of the earth element, is full of sparking flourishes and rhythmic interest. This movement is a joyous celebration of nature, life, and all its beauty.

Originally written as four individual pieces, but always intended to be a set, The Elements can be performed as individual movements or can be performed as a full four movement presentation.

By Andy Kirk & His 12 Clouds Of Joy. By Alberta Nichols, L.E. Freeman, Mann Holiner, Sammy Cahn, and Saul Chaplin. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #879734. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1288894).

In 1931, Alberta Nichols wrote the music and Mann Holiner wrote the words for a song titled Till the Real Thing Comes Along which was featured in a Broadway revue titled Rhapsody in Black. The review, produced by Lew Leslie, was similar to the famous Blackbirds reviews of the late 1920s and 1930s, and featured Ethel Waters, who introduced Till the Real Thing Comes Along. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements and was developed from the 1936 sheet music. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills to keep things moving along smoothly. We hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

Composed by Brian Strohmetz. Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. Score and part. 46 pages. Brian Strohmetz #871769. Published by Brian Strohmetz (A0.1280306).

Around the Bend is a journey of tranquility, adventure, and discovery down a section of the Monocacy Creek in Bethlehem, PA. The first section of the music that appears throughout the piece is a simple melody that is reminiscent of a simple art song. It represents the river flowing along peacefully on a beautiful day. Occasionally, we come across an area where the water hits a small obstacle that causes the water to change its path and speed. We hear this as violent 16th note interruptions in the music. The river then returns to its natural flow and pace. Further along we encounter a small waterfall area with rapids and obstacles. The music cascades and has a rhythmic drive representing the rapids and the swift moving waters. After we have traversed the rapids, we return to the calm waters of the river as it continuously flows peacefully. The next portion of our journey is inspired by a specific and unique section of the Monocacy, where we find the hidden ivy. Trees surround the creek. When looking into them, at a certain angle, you will find a tree covered in ivy hidden amongst the other trees. When we reach this point in our journey, the music starts off mysteriously as though looking through the trees. When we find the hidden ivy, we are greeted by a majestic melody that reflects this hidden beauty. The piano plays a rising arpeggio repeatedly, reflecting the ivy’s goal to grow higher and closer to the sky. Once we pass the ivy, we return to the peacefully flowing river. We approach a bend in the river that we cannot see beyond. There is a bit of trepidation, but as we start to go around the bend, everything ends peacefully, and we know everything will be fine. The river will keep moving and we will survive.
