Instrumental Duet Flute,Instrumental Duet,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.592178 Composed by David McKeown. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 5 pages. David McKeown #6354349. Published by David McKeown (A0.592178). Mimi the Multicoloured Mummy is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for one Flute and one Oboe. Mimi the Multicoloured Mummy is one in a series of ten Halloween-themed duets each presenting a portrait of a different Halloween character. All ten can be bought together in one collection by searching for 10 Spooky Halloween Duets for Flute and Oboe.Back in Ancient Egypt, Mimi always turned heads with her blonde hair and fashion sense. She made her fortune in a pyramid selling scheme and acquired Joseph’s Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at a charity auction. When she choked on a locust her friends tore up the coat and used it in the mummification process instead of the usual white bandages. So three thousand years later Mimi still dresses in style. Mimi the Multicoloured Mummy is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, with the accessible keys and range balanced by some fast passages. With a playing-time of around four minutes, Mimi the Multicoloured Mummy is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal. Flute Duet Flute - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.773342 Composed by Various. Arranged by Yoel Epstein. Instructional,Jewish,Standards,World. Score. 7 pages. Yoel Epstein #4804801. Published by Yoel Epstein (A0.773342). Three of Israel's most beloved melodies.  Â·        Hava Nagila (Let us rejoice) was written in 1917 in Jerusalem by Avraham Zvi Idelssohn, considered to be the father of Israeli music. Idelssohn's research into the music cultures of the different Jewish communities of Jerusalem laid the foundation for the growth of a unique melding of east and west that is the Israeli musical style. ·        Hevenu Shalom Aleichem (We brought you peace) was first published in 1910 by the musicologist Franz Haverel, as a Turkish folk melody Sala'am Aleikum. It came to Palestine in the same year, as an advertisement for Turkish cigarettes; the tune was printed on the package. ·        Hayu Leilot (There were nights) was written by Mordecai Zeira in 1938 to a poem by Yaakov Orland. Though this song is little known outside of Israel today, it is one of my favorites, and I hope will become one of yours as well. You are also welcome to try some of my other arrangements. In addition to the songs offered on this site (you can see them at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=Yoel+Epstein ), I have arranged three songs from the Holocaust, which I arranged and distribute for free on IMSLP. You can find them at http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Ravpapa. If you need arrangements of any of these songs for special combinations of instruments, feel free to contact me, and I will try to accommodate. Write me at yoelepst@gmail.com.  Hope you enjoy.
