A tune found in many hymnals, Come Thou, Fount of Every Blessing is a beautiful song that has stood the test of time. This arrangement provides the perfect opportunity for two treble C instruments (particularly flutes) to showcase the melody while also supporting it with a new harmony or variation on each strain. The first verse starts out as a solo in the top part, the second strain follows with an added harmony in the bottom part, the third strain puts the melody in the bottom part and gives the top part a descant, and the fourth verse rounds off the piece with the melody returning to the top part and a harmony part in the bottom. Perfect for sacred and secular settings, this duet is beloved by all audiences and is a joy to perform.
