Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1008093 Composed by Connie Pwll Walck Tyler. Concert,Contemporary,New Age,Sacred,World. Octavo. 19 pages. Connie Tyler #4884389. Published by Connie Tyler (A0.1008093). This work for SATB, Marimba, French Horn and drums can be performed substituting a piano for the Marimba, or using an electronic keyboard, if the instrumentation is hard to come by. In the attached .mp3 it is sung by Matthew Curtis to an electronic recording of the instruments. Contact connie@deephum.com to obtain an electronic recording of the instrumentals. The song is one of many found in the novel, The Earth Woman Tree Woman Quartet, also written by Connie Pwll Walck Tyler. It is a call for people to see themselves as part of the whole earth, to join the Dance of Life, the central metaphor of the novel. It opens with a haunting call by the French Horn, and then the tenors, before the drums, marimba, and the other voices join. There is a soprano descant at measure 71 that can be sung as a solo. Peace, peace, laughter and dance, joy and life for us all. Sing your tears, sing your fears.... The piece is about four minutes long. The words are:Arise! Arise!Open up your heart.Open up your heart to the Dance of Life!Arise! Arise!Open up your eyes. Open up your eyes,Arise! SATB choir, cello, and piano - Moderately Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.50-3104-E Composed by Terre Johnson. Lent. Instrument parts. 14 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #50-3104-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.50-3104-E). English. This text from an old Southern folk hymn is given new original music in this anthem setting for SATB, cello, and piano. The piano part can easily be adapted to organ. The voice parts are accessible. The tenors and basses do sing a verse alone, but in unison to two parts. The sum total makes a sort of contemplative tapestry in which the cello moves in and out of the foreground and so do the voices. Set mostly in C minor, there is a middle section where the chorus sings wordlessly against the cello line and the emphasis shifts to E-flat major. Despite the despair in the text, there is also comfort and reassurance here.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1122872 By Matthew M Tang. By Matthew M Tang. Arranged by Matthew M Tang. A Cappella,Chamber. Octavo. 8 pages. Matthew M Tang #723836. Published by Matthew M Tang (A0.1122872). Here is my arrangement of Down by the Salley Gardens. It is arranged in a way so that everyone of all skill levels should be able to perform this piece. It starts with a Baritone Solo and expands to the full choir by the end of the first verse. The voices then travel through a journey of different keys through the use of mode mixture before slipping into D Major. The second verse starts in a similar way with the sopranos getting the melody and the altos with a harmony. It then proceeds to slowly adding in the tenors and basses. It then goes back to the Baritone Solo for the end of the song.

SATB chorus divisi and soloist a cappella - Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.AHM-16-E Composed by Christopher Aspaas. 4 pages. Aspen Hill Music - Digital #AHM-16-E. Published by Aspen Hill Music - Digital (MQ.AHM-16-E). English. This introit drawn from the Byzantine tradition sets a text in Church Slavonic over a simple drone. A solo voice and aleatoric verse provide a unique set of textures to open any concert or worship and music event. This setting makes for an excellent introit or processional with the choristers either in performance position or in the round. Begin with the tenors and basses in drone on the given pitches on either a hum or pure vowel such as [u] or [É‘]. All sopranos and altos should sing the melody in unison once through, followed by a male soloist who should sing the melody from the back of the performance space and move forward as he sings. The third and final iteration of the melody should be the sopranos and altos singing through each phrase in an aleatoric style. After the final release, one could move directly into an anthem such as Tebye poyem of Rachmaninoff. The key of this piece should be adjusted to fit the needs of the ensemble and program.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus divisi - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1514721 By Air Supply. By Candy Derouge, Gunther Mende, Jennifer Rush, and Mary Susan Applegate. Arranged by PACIS EUSEBE NDOLI NDAHIRO. A Cappella,Contemporary,Pop. 11 pages. PACIS EUSEBE NDOLI NDAHIRO #1089212. Published by PACIS EUSEBE NDOLI NDAHIRO (A0.1514721). This particular SATTBB arrangement for A Capella choir holds a special place in my Arranging journey. I still think to this day it's one of my personal favorites: It's creatively emulating the instruments on the original Jennifer Rush audio, plays with counterpoint in the middle voices (Tenors 1 and 2), recalls a few melodies from Harry Styles' As we were, and around the end, it's interesting to hear how the basses and the tenors re-create that vintage 80's ballad drum beats.I hope you find it fun as much as I did writing it.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.851304 Composed by Tim Attride. Christmas. Octavo. 2 pages. Tim Attride #3589141. Published by Tim Attride (A0.851304). Starting with bars of 11 beats might raise a few eyebrows. However, this short setting of anonymous C15th words (as with many of my pieces) is intended to support the text, rather than be a nice tune with words shoehorned in.  What turns out to be a flowing opening line for the Sopranos (/ solo) leads into a simple refrain. Altos join for the second verse, still in unison, with a slightly elaborated 2-part refrain including duplets against 3/4. So on with the Tenors added in verse three and the Basses in verse four.  By verse five, some harmony is forthcoming, as is a brief division for the Sops. Although the nominal key rests in C minor and the refrains so far have resolved on a G major chord, the final chorus ends on a triumphant 8-part C major chord.A definite showpiece for an (at least) reasonably competent choir.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.914719 Composed by Annie Routley. 20th Century,Christian,Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 9 pages. Annie Routley #4301147. Published by Annie Routley (A0.914719). This is the full score - piano accompaniment, drum and SATB choir.  A choir score is available separately  This carol is designed to be very easy to learn and perform.  It needs to be accompanied by piano (simple part) and drum (no snare).  A bodhran or cajon would work just as well.  There is one minor-key tune for both the men and ladies to learn.  (This works as a 4-part round later in the carol)  Â·        The men start, accompanied just by the piano ostinato.  The drum doesn’t enter until bar 7, when the men finish their ‘drums drumming’  Â·        While the ladies sing verse 2, the men sing ‘Drum, drum’ in consecutive 5ths.  NB, the melody is slightly different at the end of the ladies’ verse, since the words ‘poor and lowly stable’ need the melody to come down rather than go up  Â·        Then the ladies sing the ‘Drum, drum’ 5ths whilst the men sing verse 3  Â·        Everyone sings verse 4 in unison and joyously  Â·        Everyone then sings verse 4 twice in a round – basses, altos, tenors then sopranos  Â·        Everyone repeats the last line of verse 4 ‘The child we’ve waited for is born …’ together (the piano and drum cut out so that the voices are unaccompanied in bar 35 – and then resume for bar 36)  Â·        ‘O hear the angels singing’ (unaccompanied) – then a loud chord and drum on beat 3 of the last bar Enjoy!  A high-definition video of the carol is available on YouTube – type in ‘Carol of the Wise Men – CMM Choir’ and select the picture with the choir ladies in white blouses and red scarves

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Digital Download SKU: A0.881169 Composed by Public domain melody. Arranged by Boo Lewis. A Cappella. Octavo. 4 pages. Rebecca de Bruin #6503837. Published by Rebecca de Bruin (A0.881169). This eight part choral arrangement of 'The water is wide' (to the tune O waly waly) was written in August 2013 for a university a cappella group. The melody is mainly in the soprano part, apart from verse 2 where it is taken by the tenors. The arrangement moves from a melody line (which could be sung by a soloist rather than all the sopranos) over 'do do' backing, to a polyphonic second verse, before moving into a homophonic structure with minor splits in the alto and tenor parts and finally full eight part harmony in the fourth verse. The ranges and voice leading do not make this particularly challenging (although there is one high A in the soprano 1 part and the tenor 1 part and 1 low E in the bass part).Vocal ranges:Soprano 1: C#4 - A5 (C# above middle C to A above high C)Soprano 2: C#4 - E5 (C# above middle C to E above high C) Alto 1 and 2: A3 - C#5 (A below middle C to C# above high C)Tenor 1: C#3 - A4 (C# below middle C to A above middle C)Tenor 2: C#3 - F#4 (C# below middle C to F# above middle C)Bass 1: A2 - A3 (A below low C to A below middle C)Bass 2: E2 - A3 (E below low C to A below middle C)

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1023073 Composed by Pauline Boston. Christian,Christmas,Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. Pauline Boston #4643365. Published by Pauline Boston (A0.1023073). Part of the Christmas Story is the shepherds tending their flocks by night.  This interesting composition creates the impression that the tenors and basses are the shepherds and the sopranos and altos are the angels as it describes the shepherds' journey to find the Christ Child.  Full of meaning and beautiful chording, it can easily be performed as a tenor/bass duet using soloists, with other tenors and basses joining in on the tutti sections.  The song has several key changes and is mostly in a minor key, except for one section when the angels sing.  It can be a real show piece for your tenors and basses, and lends itself to the dramatic acting out of the scenarios.  Performance time is @ 5-6 minutes.

SATB choir unaccompanied - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.1.3379-E Composed by Ellen Gilson Voth. Secular, 21st Century, Americana, Folk Song. 10 pages. Duration 2 minutes, 1 second. Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital #1.3379-E. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital (MQ.1.3379-E). English. This arrangement contrasts the unbridled optimism and resolve of a person heading off to war with the bittersweet nostalgia of leaving a special person behind, along with the promise of return. The repeated statements of the refrain are most effective when singers highlight the syncopations and rhythmic differences among them. Tenors should sing the final statement of 'Goin' across the mountain' (m. 39) with a more wistful quality than at the start. All singers should enjoy the harmonic movement of the last line, and their carefully timed roles in it—all the way to the altos' final, delayed word. -Ellen Gilson VothDuration: 2:01.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.1007125 Composed by Mogens Eliasen. Folk,Romantic Period. Octavo. 40 pages. Soverenity Enterprises Inc. #2948289. Published by Soverenity Enterprises Inc. (A0.1007125). The 40-page score is a choral symphony with a powerful lesson to modern people, based on an old Danish folk song about the young super-hero Ramund.  The score is dense with contents, both musically and lyrically, and alone for that reason, the 8-minute performance takes an advanced choir. The original folk song dates back to the Viking age and consist of many episodes ofRamund's life, almost like a personal saga. Some have undoubtedly been added later, making the total number of stanzas go up around 50, but the main idea of the song isto report about a young lad, whose ideas of what is right for him to do or not doare completely unaffected by other people's opinions, including those of royalties andcelebrities. The stories are in many regards comparable to those of Beowolf.Although the stories generally are dramatic and bloody, Ramund always retains hiscool attitude and shows how unimpressed he is with power demonstrations, even hisown when he is provoked to use his strength. It is a common element throughout thestories that Ramund detests evil and aggression, and he goes to great lengths to fightpower abusers and aggressive elements. He just wants to live in peace and not haveto be bothered by all those who like to abuse power!Included in this presentation for piano and 8 voices are 11 stanzas from what is believedto be original, in English translation, with focus on clarity of meaning, more so thanpoetical rules and rhymes. The first ruling concept has been to obtain clarity and agreat fit to the music. The second concept has been to add the inspiration this old folksong has created in the mind of a modern rebel who would like to see some ofRamund's attitude to power and power abusers put into action in our modern corruptsociety. Maybe in a less bloody version, but definitely with a similar effect! The added2 stanzas and the attached coda, as well as the added lyrics to the intermezzos and theincorporated commentaries to the action should serve that purpose. In addition, the original tune itself, as well as the lyrics and the intermezzo, haveinspired some musical development throughout the piece, to further accentuate themeaning and the messages about respecting each other, standing together againstabuse, and not letting power abusers get away with their crimes. The 8 voices cover ranges as follows:     First sopranos: C4 through Bb5 (possibly G5);     Second sopranos: C4 through E5;     All altos: G3 through D5;     All tenors: C3 through G#4(possibly F#4);     First basses: F2 through D4;     Second basses: D2 through B3
