It is a good beginning intermediate piano piece, and fun for learning crossing over of the hands.  Explaination and  and demonstrating  the interval of perfect fifths in advance. ( as well as other intervals) is always a good preparation for this! Julia Muench is a pianist, composer, arranger, piano professor since 2006 at the Monmouth Conservatory of Music now through the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. It is from my album 'The Open Road', a collection of 14 of my solo piano compositions. Though I was born in Missouri, I do think of Kansas as my home state - it’s where I spent the first five years of my life. One of the most beautiful sights (there or anywhere, in my opinion) is that of wheat fields holding up the sky for as far as the eye can see, swaying gently like waves upon the ocean. That sight was the inspiration for this piece.
