The song was published in 1924 and featured in George White's Scandals of 1924. This is not to be confused with the Southern gospel song written by W.F. & Marjorie Crumley. The first recordings of Somebody Loves Me were a number of popular versions in 1924 and 1925 by Paul Whiteman, Ray Miller, Marion Harris and Cliff Edwards (aka Ukulele Ike) with the Whiteman version being top-rated. This version was developed from the original 1924 public domain sheet music and features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in many of  our arrangements. Whispering is a popular song, first published in 1920 by Sherman, Clay & Co., of San Francisco. The initial 1920 copyright and first publishing attributes the lyrics to Malvin Schonberger and the music to John Schonberger. Whispering was recorded by Paul Whiteman and his Ambassador Orchestra on August 23, 1920, for the Victor Talking Machine Company at their studios in Camden, New Jersey. Ferde Grofé arranged the composition and played piano on the recording. This version was developed from the original 1920 sheet music and features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in many of  our arrangements. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you will like! It's a fun song and not too hard to play!
