Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.862695 Composed by Liszt, F. Arranged by Michael Bomier. Contemporary,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Michael Butkus-Bomier #5313641. Published by Michael Butkus-Bomier (A0.862695). Here is the iconic and accessible music of that larger collection of Consolations and Libestraums. The presentation here uses 12/8 as the time signature, such that all the triplets in the LH are now the foundational rhythm, rather than a triplet addendum throughout. The RH melody uses a few duplets, which are much less visually confusing than the original. The LH part has chord symbols, so as to fully announce and integrate the arpeggiated harmony underneath this tune. The pedaling uses the original edtion marks with some added or edited to reflect the modern piano and modern practices. Low tones reflect when the notes start, and might not fully extend time-wise below, since the piano of Liszt's day was thinner, and could hold blurred harmony longer. The final low note is added ala' Horowitz. Enjoy!

Instrumental Duet Harp,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.971641 Composed by Jeffrey Hoover. 20th Century,Contemporary,Spiritual. Score and parts. 14 pages. Musicart Publications #4270425. Published by Musicart Publications (A0.971641). Duration: 5 min. 45 sec.  Appropriate for recitals, concert performances, and worship services.  In biblical literature, Archangel Uriel is a divine messenger from God, bringing knowledge to the people while serving as a protector of truth. Uriel's providence is set in light, truth, and wisdom. Uriel is a patron of poetry, associated with repentance, and is one of the archangels who stand in the presence of God. In some traditions, Uriel stands at the entrance to the Garden of Eden, with a fiery sword, preventing Man's return to that paradise on Earth. Uriel is the angel who came to Earth and warned Noah of the Great Flood to come. Uriel also spoke to the biblical prophet Ezra on behalf of God, teaching and answering a series of questions Ezra posed to God. Uriel is associated with several literary and artistic works, notably depicted in Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting The Virgin on the Rocks. In this painting, Uriel is shown along with Mary (the mother of Jesus), with Jesus and John the Baptist presented as young toddlers. The composition Uriel makes use of two modal scales to create melodic and harmonic tension and resolution: an altered E Phrygian scale (with a lowered 6th step of the scale) and an altered C Lydian (with a lowered 6th and 7th scale step). The Phrygian scale brings a dark minor quality to the sound, in contrast to the Lydian scale's major yet veiled quality. Set in an unfolding three-part form, the music invokes a blurred and sometimes mystical atmosphere for the listener. Jeffrey Hoover's compositions- music for soloist to symphony orchestra -have received recognition through the prestigious Trieste prize, the international Luigi Russolo competition, awards from Mu Phi Epsilon, the Lancaster Fine Arts Festival, grants, publications fellowships, and more than 20 commissions. He is a member of the ACME roster of Mu Phi Epsilon, recognized for distinguished achievement as a composer.  One unique aspect of Hoover’s work is when he combines composition with his paintings, creating synergetic art that intrigues and captivate audiences and performers alike. His paintings are seen in exhibitions and in concerts where his paintings are projected while musicians perform his music. Whether making interdisciplinary works, or traditional stand-alone sonic or visual art, Hoover shapes his work through inner vision and practical experience. Jeffrey Hoover’s background as a performer includes both classical and jazz music, as saxophonist and conductor. His book The Arts and Society: Making New Worlds is published by Kendall Hunt Publishing. Hoover was born on September 11, 1959, in Anderson, Indiana. He holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts (Composition and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts) from Texas Tech University, as well as a M.M. and Bch.Sc. from Ball State University. His career in higher education has included both faculty and arts administration appointments.

Cello,English Horn,Oboe,Piano Accompaniment - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1020744 Composed by Brian Strohmetz. Contemporary. 22 pages. Brian Strohmetz #5299807. Published by Brian Strohmetz (A0.1020744). Time: 4min Instrumentation: Solo Oboe/English Horn, Solo Cello, Piano Accompaniment Program Notes: The definition of Bokeh according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary;  the blurred quality or effect seen in the out-of-focus portion of a photograph taken with a narrow depth of field. It wasn’t until I set out to write this piece that I did research on one of my favorite photographic techniques. I always called bokeh those cool looking out of focus lights. Once I learned the techniques name, my fascination with it grew. In my research, I found that the photographs I was drawn to the most were those of out of focus city lights, and out of focus Christmas lights. One had a frantic beauty, the other a more calming comforting beauty. All beautiful in their own unique way. I wanted to capture in music what the photographer captured in film. To capture a certain kinetic electric energy. To capture a certain kind of momentary beauty. To see through music the photographers eye. String Ensemble,String Quintet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017441 Composed by Elsie Loftus. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 8 pages. Elsie Loftus #6103815. Published by Elsie Loftus (A0.1017441). L'Incubo is a short piece (roughly three minutes long) intended for a string quintet. L'Incubo, translating literally to The Nightmare, is in three parts mimicking the construct of a nightmare or night terror. The introduction hastily expresses the beginnings of a night terror through the minor runs in the first violin part, then developed into organized chaos with merging duple and triple meter in the first major section. The first major part fades into a lulling second 'movement', to where the strings terrace in harmonizing parts that increasingly become more minor and blurred as the nightmare comes back to the surface. The initial chaos from the first miniature movement repeats, then fades as the listener 'wakes up' from the nightmare. The piece is relatively easy to read pitch wise, but rhythmic accuracy is a must due to the eerie, combined duple and triple meter. L'Incubo would be well suited for intermediate or advanced musicians. .

Soprano voice and piano - difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6176 Fragment from Das Urteil (The Judgement) by Franz Kafka. Composed by Christian Jost. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 7 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q6176. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6176). German.Kafka's œuvre is interspersed with moments of utter anxiety. Moments in which, induced by adrenalin, the blood pressure rises. Blood vessels which seem to constrict, pump enormous quantities of blood the pressure of which might make one believe that the head is going to explode. In The Judgment, an innocent opening story leads to one of the most unusual showdowns in world literature: The beloved father sentences his son to death by drowning; the son immediately obeys since his life, his existence almost explodes, becomes blurred, dissolves at the moment the judgment is pronounced. For me, the 'self' driving him – I imagine this as a high sound in the inner ear – could only be a soprano. This is why the actual 'fall' has turned out to be clear, almost friendly and why Georg only seems to want to breathe a soft and quiet 'Dear parents, I have always loved you' during the fall while no longer keeping the singing tone, shortly before death, almost casually, takes hold of him. Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1007054 Composed by Johnson Gao. Concert,Contemporary,Folk. Octavo. 3 pages. Johnson Gao #6616115. Published by Johnson Gao (A0.1007054). Song of the Autumn Fog. Men and Bass Voices Karaoke in 3 languages. It used cello as the main instrument. The speed is slower than the piano version. English translation: Autumn Fog by Johnson Gao White curtains are covering the blue hills afar. Crickets are singing in the green bed near. The stony houses are dimly hidden in fragrant woods. Blurred morning glory flowers are dotting the window frames. The vague life contains hardships and dangers. The morning disaster and the evening luck were preset by the heaven. Opportunities only favor to those who can grasp her. When the haze disappears, the sun looks shiner by the side of colorful clouds.

Preferred Contact Information: RMonteverdi@comcast.net Performing Rights Organization: BMI Website: robertgreenbergmusic.com Facebook Band Page: facebook.com/RobertGreenbergMusic Duration: ca. 35 minutes Year of composition: 1992 Program Note: I. A City By The Sea II. Hay Mowing III. When Grandma, May She Rest In Peace, Died IV. Longing V. Ancient Murderess Night VI. Lullaby VII. Toys VIII. Old Age IX. Rest IRON BALCONIES AND LILIES was written between December 1991 and November 1992. The nine poems of the cycle, originally in Yiddish and by various poets, speak of a woman's life at various stages, from extreme old age to youth, and back to old age. The poetry is magnificent and direct: at turns quiet, passionate, gentle, ferocious, erotic, agonized and violent. In setting these poems, I have particularly sought to capture the many images and metaphors that unite them. For example, the music representing the violent, life-giving blades (scythes) of No. 2 evoke agonized, ritualized grief in No. 3, a ghastly (and comic) celebration of death in No. 5, and ultimately, a wondrous and benign angel of death in No. 9. Over the course of the cycle, the power and singular clarity of childhood memory gives way to the quiet complexity and blurred edge of adult memory. All poems used by permission.
