Classical,Spiritual,World. Score and parts. 2 pages. Alexander Bosrup Karlsen #6245113. Published by Alexander Bosrup Karlsen (A0.974057). Draumkvedet is a visionary medieval ballad from Telemark in Norway. The exact date is unknown, but it's for sure before the reformation. The story has some similarities with Tundalls Vision, that served as an inspiration for Dante's inferno. From wikipedia: The protagonist, Olav Åsteson, falls asleep on Christmas Eve and sleeps until the twelfth day of Christmas. Then he wakes, and rides to church to recount his dreams to the congregation, about his journey through the afterlife. The events are in part similar to other medieval ballads like the Lyke Wake Dirge: a moor of thorns, a tall bridge, and a black fire. After these, the protagonist is also allowed to see Hell and some of Heaven. The poem concludes with specific advice of charity and compassion, to avoid the various trials of the afterlife.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1270895 Composed by Colin Eatock. 21st Century,A Cappella,Christmas. Octavo. 18 pages. Colin Eatock Music #863278. Published by Colin Eatock Music (A0.1270895). A cappella SATB choir; ca. 4 minThe composer writes: Little is known of Francis Kindlemarsh (or Kinwelmersh), the poet who wrote this text. It is believed he was from Essex, and that he studied law in London in the 1550s, where he also took part in the literary and theatrical life of Gray’s Inn. His “Cast Off All Doubtful Care,” could be viewed as an early example of metaphysical poetic style, with its elaborate use of metaphor and imagery. Kindlemarsh evidently became known to William Byrd, who first set this poem to music. Byrd’s setting was published in 1589, in a collection of works by the English composer entitled “Songs of Sundrie Natures.”.

Organ - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7303 From Années de Pélerinage. Composed by Franz Liszt. Arranged by Edwin H. Lemare. This edition: Sheet music. Schott Archive. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q7303. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7303). The excellent quality of Schott music editions has made the company one of the leading music publishers in the world ever since it was founded in 1770. Over its long history Schott has published several hundred thousand titles and built up one of the largest publishing archives in existence. This includes music for many different combinations of voices and instruments and works by great and lesser composers, too, all with one thing in common: they are a musical reflection of their time and a historical document of their age. The spectrum ranges from classical chamber music and Romantic virtuoso compositions to historical tutorial books for instrumentalists, from arrangements of symphonic works for piano duet to popular sets of variations on operatic themes for various string and wind instruments - with a particular focus on the music of the 19th Century. Treasures that have been preserved through several wars are now being made available to the public again under the name Schott Archive. The musical notation and the substance of these unique creations are reproduced without alteration to offer reprints of historical editions faithful to the orginal documents.

Small Ensemble Flute,Harp,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797341 Arranged by Beth Kolle. Concert,Folk,World. Score and parts. 40 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4808447. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797341). Songs for the Midnight Sun comprises fifteen Nordic folk melodies, dance tunes, songs and ballads that have captured the arranger's imagination over the years. For Beth Kolle, Scandinavian music is the expression of the unparalleled beauty of the Nordic countries. The exotically different modes and harmonies evoke wild nature, and unseen beings of the ancient folk beliefs. This is music meant to be sung, danced to, or crooned to sleepy children, preferably in an age-old log cabin redolent of sweet, mellow resin and many years of comforting fires. As with all her other books, these arrangements are meant to be adjusted to your own playing style. Use them as a stepping-off point for making the arrangement your own, or use some of my ideas in a different song. Consider yourself warned: many Scandinavian tunes are addictive and tend to roll around in your head. The cure for that, of course, is to find another tune to replace the one in your head. And so on....good luck with that.Contains:  Song from Venjan, Traditional Song, Dalarna, Sweden, The Dream, Göran ‘Freddy’ Fredriksson, Sweden (also has flute/fiddle part), Polska from HĂ€lleforsnĂ€s, Traditional Polska, Sweden, Ball Polska, Traditional Polska, Sweden, Funk Fars Polska, Traditional Polska, RĂ€ttvik, Sweden, Marjankukka (Berry Flower), Lauri Keskinen, Finland (Flute or Fiddle part included), Springtime Waltz, Traditional Waltz, Sweden (Flute or Fiddle included), Walking Tune (GĂ„nglĂ„t efter Hamare), Traditional GĂ„nglĂ„t, Sweden, The Lost Sheep, Traditional Melody, Telemark, Norway, Waltz from Denmark, Traditional Waltz, Denmark, Amanda, Roger Tallroth, Sweden ,Waltz from Folldal, Traditional Waltz, Norway (Flute or Fiddle part included), Bridal March from Äppelbo, Traditional Wedding March, Sweden, Griffenfeldt, Traditional Reinlender, Norway, La Folia, Traditional Polska, Sweden (Flute or Fiddle part included)
