Organ - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.10-365-9E Composed by David M. Cherwien. Lent, Triduum/Three Days, Tenebrae. Instrument part. 1 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #10-365-9E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.10-365-9E). “These are written-out improvisations that were a part of the Good Friday noon liturgy at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Minneapolis. It is a service based on stations of the cross from the Anglican tradition, in our case, with a procession to each of nine stations. At each station there is a mini-liturgy which consists of a reading, prayer, interpretive improvisation on the organ, and the singing of a stanza of a hymn. For the improvisation, I weave in images from the reading with the hymn. For example, at the sixth station, the reading includes the phrase “His yoke is easyâ€, and the hymn is “Go to Dark Gethsemane.†The improvisation alternates between the theme from the chorus “His yoke is easy†from Handel’s Messiah and a very dark and thick chordal setting of the hymn. The improvisations are full of imagery which are evocative and emotionally charged.â€-David CherwienThis unified set represents nine Stations of the Cross, but the pieces can also be used individually as preludes, hymn introductions, or worship interludes. A special reproducible liturgy Good Friday: The Way of The Cross by Susan Palo Cherwien is also included.

Klarinette in C - S. (Gong · chin. Operngong · 4 Tomt. · gr. Tr. · Bass Drum mit Pedal · Woodbl.) (1 Spieler) clarinet and percussion - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q43621 From the opera The Ratter. Composed by Wilfried Hiller. This edition: score and part. Clarinet Library. Downloadable, Score and part. Duration 5 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q43621. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q43621). In 2000, the Expo in Hanover saw the world premiere of this arrangement of two parts from the opera Der Rattenfänger by Wilfried Hiller and Michael Ende. The myth about the Pied Piper is placed in a new contemporary context; the musical language, however, draws on the time of the legend, the early Middle Ages. The two performers of the world premiere of the work for clarinet and percussion were Jörg Widmann and Stefan Blum, with the latter also having arranged the new version.

Saxophone Ensemble,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.992932 Composed by Claire Tomsett-Rowe. Blues,Jazz. 35 pages. Masquerade Music #597532. Published by Masquerade Music (A0.992932). Pat Pong is movement two (of four) from the delightful 'A Night In Bangkok' original suite by Claire Tomsett-Rowe for flexible saxophone octet (with optional bass sax) - not to be confused with 'ONE Night in Bangkok' from Chess! (the musical). Pat Pong shows the sleaze of a visit to a club (musical directions include 'filthy' for example ;D). Other pieces from the suite (though not included here in this purchase) are 'Tuk Tuk Ride': a thoroughly bonkers ordeal as the tuk tuk careers around the city (complete with many blaring horns and panic!) as it endeavours to reach its destination. Tuk tuk ride is one of the two more lively movements from the book (Spicy Disco is the other hilarious and rather frantic piece....obviously someone really needs to party! ;D), and (thankfully!) some respite on the river boat ride (Chao Phraya) which is a nice slow tempo with blending lines (great for practicing control and blending within the ensemble). The saxophone octet is aimed at advanced confident ensembles (we'd typically recommend grade 7+) due to the tempo changes (and just tempo for that matter!).
