The music scene took notice of Erik Satie (1866-1925) all of a sudden: The world premiere of his ballet 'Parade' on 18 May 1917 [siehe dt. Text!] caused quite a scandal. The production which involved Sergey Diaghilev with his 'Ballets Russes', Pablo Picasso (scenery and costumes), Jean Cocteau (story) as well as Léonide Massine (choreography) divided the music scene of Paris, yet made the composer widely known. Satie who hardly had had any solid musical training and lived in Paris for almost all his life developed a new musical style, in deliberate rejection of the 'Wagnérisme' of his time. Classical form models, new harmonies, stylistic ease, meditative and clownish elements amalgamated in an original way, the perfect example being his '3 Gymnopédies' of 1888 the first of which was here arranged for a solo instrument with piano accompaniment: Thus, it is now possible, even for non-pianists, to play this famous miniature by Satie. Thanks to its easy playability, it can also be used for educational purposes.

Georg Friedrich Händel (1685 –1759) was a German-born Baroque composer becoming well known for his operas, oratorios, anthems, concerti grossi and organ concertos. Handel received his training in Halle and worked as a composer in Hamburg and Italy before settling in London in 1712, where he spent the bulk of his career and became a naturalised British subject in 1727. He was strongly influenced both by the middle-German polyphonic choral tradition and by composers of the Italian Baroque.

One of 22 movements from the album Opus Arcana, by Ian Ring. Opus Arcana is a series of 22 pieces for solo piano, inspired by the Major Arcana cards of a standard tarot deck. Composed from 2015 to 2017, and released in early 2018 as an album of recordings and as sheet music for piano students.

The difficulty of these works range from intermediate to virtuosically challenging; while some (like Empress, Hanged Man) are certainly approachable by a beginner student, others (like Devil, Chariot, Tower) are fiendishly difficult and will require considerable practice to perform well! All are intended for a performer with adult-sized hands capable of spanning one octave.

The music is highly emotive, intended to evoke the character and personality of the Tarot cards' unique archetypes. This series is excellent for recitals, pedagogical training for students, or for programming into a concert.

This suite has been composed in baroque style.
This suite is a piano version of the original composed for violin solo.
When I composed the violin version my brain imagined the bass voice thinking the armony strucuture in a natural way.
It has been an exercise to demonstrate that, in general, all music can be adapted to other instrment formations.
The adaptation of piano version from the violin version has been made separating the armonic elements and creating the left hand voices.
The piano player can add slurs, digitation numbers and articulations in order to create its own version.
Their movements can be used also as a training studies.
